Great location and view. Ask for a sea view and higher up floors. Decent restaurant. Friendly Staff and walking distance to city center. Rooms outdated but clean. Beach 100m away. Good speed and free WIFI.

This hotel is a stones throw from the beach and is approx 1.5km from the old town. It suited me to a degree as I needed to walk along the beach the next day to catch a ferry but if I was passing through Laredo again, I'd stay elsewhere. The room did have a balcony but had no tea or...

Reasonable accommodation at a good value price with staff who care about the service they give. Restaurant is also good value for money with excellent breakfast buffet. A trip to the bar is worthwhile and the friendly barman is only to pleased to display his skill at making cocktails and also to introduce you to local and other Spanish drinks....

Best part to this hotel is that it is just a street away from the beach. To the centre of Laredo, it is a short walk - in the off season there wasn't too big an offer, and if you have a car, I would go to Santander for dinner or tapas. The rooms have a good size, but with...

We spent a few nights here before returning home on the ferry from Bilbao. Very nice hotel, but a little dated. The food and wine were very good! Either water or wine was included with the evening meal when half board. The room was clean and bed were comfy. It was a pity the swimming pool was not clean and...

Travelling off-season has its advantages, as we hadn't booked ahead. We found the Laredo easily, it is in a residential area and the wide expanse of beach just a five minute walk away. The receptionist was very friendly and informative and we were given a room with a balcony and a view. Facing west we saw the sun setting over...

After a terrible experience in the only hotel in Laredo recommended by Michelin Guide which we left the same evening without using the room (although we still had to pay for it, and more than announced!) the Cosmopol was a breath of fresh air, clean, comfortable, lovely staff, great diner. View of the sea.

This hotel is OK, but there must be 30 years since last upgrading. Both the lobby, the restaurant and the rooms can need to be brushed up. But - they offer a small pool outdoors, and very good dinner. Plus for verandas to the rooms too. And nice smile behind the front desk.

This was the second of three hotels we stayed in as part of a 7nts visit to N.West Spain in June/July, 2013. We had visited Lerado before but not stayed there. The hotel is situated about 1 mile out of town in a quiet? residential area and is surrounded by houses. We found it without difficulty thanks to the satnav....

The Cosmopol is a nice beach side hotel. It is nicely located a block back from the beach. It has everything you need for a nice beach-side holiday. Staff are very friendly.
