Called in here prior going to a funeral; had drinks and said we would be back at lunch time. Arrived back just before 2pm but the restaurant closed at 2pm so no lunch. Bar meals not served until 2.30pm and due to the fact that one of the group was staying there, they would prepare sandwiches. We asked for a...

We stayed here for a conference. Where to start with this hotel. Graffiti in the toilets like you would find in a public convenience, pubic hairs in the bedsheets, sauna heat in the room that could not be adjusted, a Basil Fawlty Manager who had more rules than the EU and some of staff rapidly need training in customer service....

Settled in the little town of St Ives, (originally named 'Slepe' in the Domesday Book c1086). The Dolphin Hotel must have been styled around the same date as apart from the cuisine and quaint location the hotel is about as dated as they get. It's modern 'looking' from the outside (in a brick block kind of way) but when you...

We came for an evening meal but did not stay the night. The restaurant was brilliant, perfectly set, great prices and the food was brilliant! The setup of mains to then dish your own Veg worked very well for our party. Could not recommend enough. Well worth stopping by or popping in! The service was also exceptional from our welcome...

We have been to this hotel for afternoon tea and it was excellent. A good selection of cakes and coffee, the bar staff are so helpful. A nice touch is parking is free you just ask for a token to get out of the car park. We recently stayed at the hotel for New Years Eve, the rooms are large...

Was welcomed into the building by reception staff. Four adults and three children. Ordered coffee and hot chocolate, neither were overly hot! However, service was good, prices reasonable and made to feel welcome.

Wanting a venue to host a Sunday lunch for 51 people, The Dolphin immediately sprang to mind after looking after us so well last year. Right from the start the staff were helpful and friendly, every phone call met with civility and efficiency. Easy to find with plenty of parking, we were greeted by the staff and found the restaurant...
