Chose from the set menu. Had duck terrine and humous and pitta, gammon and chilli. The food was lovely and the chilli had a real kick. Plenty of room in the restaurant even though we hadn't booked. Staff were great. Nice cosy pub.

Nicely refurbished rooms. Decent breakfast. Also a nice welcoming pub too This place is so convenient and friendly - just does the job and no complaints. The family rooms are exceptionally good value with adjoining rooms and a shared bathroom. Far superior to staying at the chain hotel in the err........ village !!!!

We were visiting for a gig at Manchester MEN but couldn't find any acceptable accommodation south of £200. Solution - we found this place a ten minute train commute and further ten minute walk from Manchester Victoria. And what a great find. Beautiful spacious en suite room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, free easy parking. Oh! And a saving of well...

Had an evening meal here and the food was poor quality and tasteless. There were issues with the meal and the waiter took a black piece of broccoli off my plate by reaching and grabbing it with his HAND!!!! There was hair on the barely cooked tasteless chicken and for the money this meal was simply appalling. After a complaint,...

Excellent communications; friendly staff; new. spacious and clean room; free Wi-Fi. Breakfast freshly cooked and good quality. Evening menu might have been a bit wider, but the food was good. So was the beer! Definitely recommend - family-run and wanting to please: it pays to care!
