Four delightful, award winning, country cottages in Lancashire. Ideal for families, groups and those that just want to get away from it all. Nestling in the rich arable farmland of West Lancashire between the beautiful seaside resort of Southport and the bustling market town of Ormskirk. The cottages, ranging in size and character, have been expertly converted from former farm buildings. The Stable has been specially designed to be accessible for guests with disabilities and is bright and spacious. All the cottages are fully equipped with every modern convenience yet still retain lots of the original features. The area is ideal for walking and cycling and being only 2 miles from the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Martin Mere, it is a bird watchers paradise.

We stayed in the Stable whilst settling my daughter into University locally. Phil and Sue couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The cottage was well equipped, spotlessly clean and warm. There was plenty of information on local activities etc and advice on where to go for certain things was easily obtainable just by asking. Couldn't have found a better place. My only criticism, and it's not something that Sue or Phil can do anything about is the poor water pressure, other than that it was a perfect 4 week stay

This is a superb location for a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. The accommodation varies depending on how many people are in the group and is excellent..to say it is 10/10 is no where near the cleanliness and accommodation..totally superb..an understatement...all the people who run the site are exceptional and brilliant....definitely recommended and be back again and again and again...

We stayed in the dairy for a long weekend whilst we were in the area for a pompey away game. Booked last minute bit this was no problem for the owner, who couldn't have been more helpful. The dairy was small but absolutely perfect for 2. There was everything that you need in there. We will be back in the summer when we can make use of the grounds and the hot tub.

We stayed in the Granary cottage which is ideal for a larger family. It's three bedrooms, a spacious lounge/diner/kitchen, and a good sized bathroom. We were down for a family wedding in the nearby Hurlston Hall on New Year's Eve, and the reviews for Martin Lane Farm swung it for us. The cottage is really comfortable and well maintained and equipped. It also has the greatest selection of toys I have ever seen in a holiday let! We loved our time in Ormskirk and would definitely recommend the cottage. We will return!
