On our way back from Orkney we booked into Kiltearn House and were just blown away at the peace and tranquillity of this lovely converted manse. The standard of accommodation was excellent with lovely large room overlooking the sea. The standard, cleanliness and appearance of the room was of the first order and there was not a thing extra needed... More

We searched for B&B accommodation for two nights near Alness, so we could spend a whole day with a relative there. We hoped to find somewhere quiet, with private off-street parking, so that our two dogs could sleep in the car overnight, and with access to good walks away from traffic. We found that Kiltearn House met these requirements and... More

Ed and Nellie were the most gracious of hosts! So helpful and brimming with information about the area. The house is just absolutely charming, yet comfortable. It was fabulous that they stock a few libations for their guests, available for purchase. That makes for a wonderful way to wind down once your all tucked in and comfortable so that one... More

Very beautiful quite location, very clean small inn, charming hosts that went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Breakfast was served in a glassed in porch, with views out into the garden and the bay, quality of breakfast exceptional. Take a stroll along the shoreline and eat at the nearby pub. We would definitely come... More

I stayed at this perfect guest house on a business trip in August. The rooms are large with really comfy 6ft beds. There's a lovely little fridge on the landing stocking all the local beers and you just sign the honesty book for what you've taken. The breakfast is a wonder and sets you up perfectly for the day. I... More

My third stay at the Kiltern house and like the last two visits I left extremely satisfied with my stay. What a great place to stay. It's just a big shame that I'm always so rushed and quite really appreciate the immediate area and the house it's self.

We were in the Scottish Highlands for our niece's wedding. The Kiltearn House had been recommended to us. So glad we took the advise. This B & B is conveniently located off the A9 in Evanton, roughly 30 miles north of Inverness. The Victorian era country manor house is in a bucolic setting with a wonderful view of the firth....
