We were grateful for the accommodation available at FduF but were only booked for one night to enable us to fulfil a safari flight booking. We thought the en suite accommodation fine for our purpose if a little tight for space. We were very satisfied with the breakfast offering. On the whole the price is high but we were conscious...

We stayed here just for one night. I don't like writing reviews that have a critical content but felt that Freda du Faur failed on certain basic aspects. Its location is good and some rooms open onto a delightful garden. The hosts are well meaning and kindly with a wealth of local knowledge. However, my basic criticism is that the...

On our trip round NZ we mostly stayed in B&Bs costing NZ$140 but decided to treat ourselves for the final 2 nights, and stayed here at NZ$170 ie about £15 more per night. The room was tiny (no space to swing a hamster, let alone a possum), and cold. It would've been nice to have what all the other places...

We stayed two nights at this B&B in Lake Tekapo. The hosts, Barry and Dawn Clark, are lovely folks, and we enjoyed getting to know them. Their home has a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the lake. Barry is also a fishing guide, and he took my husband fishing while we were there. The guest rooms are on...

We stayed for one night and found it to be a lovely place to stay. We were treated to wine and beer by our hosts on our arrival, which was appreciated after a long journey. The room was comfortable and opened onto the deck with a view of the large well kept garden. It is a short walk from the...

We have a nice stay here and would definitely stay here again. Dawn and Freda are great hosts, they are eager to share with u what to see and where to eat. The garden is lovely. The host made us feel home, and the house has a fantastic view of lake tekapo. Dawn makes delicious breakfast too. Though the room...

My partner and I stayed in this lovely B&B for just one night, but we could have easily stayed longer. We felt at home immediately, greeted by Dawn and her lovely personality. Her home has gorgeous views of Lake Tekapo and the mountains. Our room was spacious, clean, and the whole house was beautiful. Dawn and her partner offered us...

This B&B is run by a couple who just make it all happen. Their love of the area combines with their deep knowledge of every aspect of the district - what's going on, local attractions, nature and history. No point in repeating what other recent reviewers have said. Just believe it.

We stayed with Dawn for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though Barry was not well in hospital, Dawn still made us very welcome. We had a great en-suite room that looked out over the lovely garden. The very ample breakfast is served in the upstairs lounge which has a great view. It is only a short walk into...

Myself and my partner have just finished a working holiday in New Zealand and part of this was spent in Lake Tekapo. When we first arrived there we stayed in a hostel and we were really struggling to find a place to live for a couple of months. Someone told us about this B and B and so we popped...
