My wife and I spent 2 nites at the Shearing Shed as part of an Active Adventures tour of New Zealand. The setting is amazing with incredible views of Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. The accommodation is rustic and set in the middle of a cow pasture. The cows were a bit shy, but provided some good entertainment and...

Thank you for your review. The Shearers lodge is located on a working High Country farm, we could fence it off but have chosen not to as that would impact the expansive view, so occasionally we do need to graze that paddock. When you stayed it was with cows and calves which can be quite inquisitive. There are 2 bedrooms...

This has to be one of the best locations in the world for a B & B. We stayed in the newest cottage - Station Cottage - beautifully but simply furnished with panoramic views of Mount Cook. With nothing between us and the stunning blue Lake and with the backdrop of the pink mountain in the setting sun, it was...

Stayed in the Shearer's Quarters (Lodge?) On our first night of the Alps to Ocean Cycle Trail. Amazing place to stay, warm and comfortable. All food was provided to us and they were amazingly accommodating to difficult dietary requirements. 10/10

Braemar Station is a working sheep station just outside of the town of Tekapo , they have a few cottages, that are all set away from each other so they feel very private. Pine Cottage situated about 300 meters from Lake Pukaki, the views of the green/blue lake and the southern alpes are stunning. The renovated cottage is very welcoming...

Thank you for your great review. So glad you enjoyed your stay in our corner of the world. Pine Cottage does have a special feel to it and the most wonderful views out over the lake which is always changing. Hope to see you here again. Best wishes Julia

This is it. Rustic stay away from all the crowds. You can have the place all to your self. The hosts are great (what a life). We had a cottage by ourselves. Next morning there was an amazing rainbow over Mt Cook. Beautiful views. You can stroll by the lake. What more.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilltop Cottage. Dated but clean and tidy. The viewxs were to die for, the hosts very friendly and the cottage was warm and cosy. It had double glazing for warmth, a log fire with plenty of firewood. It had everything you need, but do take your own food as shops are a long...

A perfect start to our Alps to Ocean bike ride. We stayed in the Pine Cottage which was well equipped and an added bonus of a fire which we used to get out washing dry. Julia was a great host providing us with a beautiful meal of Aoraki Salmon which we enjoyed while sitting outside with the spectacular Lake Pukaki...

We stayed in the Hilltop Cottage while the rest of our group were in Pine Cottage which has a larger kitchen which is where we ate. Both cottages are well fitted out with cooking equipment, BBQ, comfortable beds (ours was anyway) and lovely scenery. The shared bathrooms were sufficient and the washing machines were very handy, even if just for...
