Detailed Reviews
We were a group of four who stayed here late September 2020. We were thrilled with our choice! What lovely accommodations! We stayed in a spacious two-bedroom suite with an exceptional oceanfront view in a quiet, peaceful location. The property is only four years old. Everything is spotless. The suites contain all of the comforts of home, including a patio with a bbq and a washer/dryer. The owner/operator, Darlene, is very personable and eager to ensure your getaway is a experience you will totally enjoy. We highly recommend this hidden gem if you are looking to get a change of scenery. You won't regret it. Hiking trails and an eat-in restaurant in the area.

My husband and i spent a night at the Inn along with another couple. Our suite was clean, the bathroom was spacious and there was a washer and dryer in the suite which would be a plus if we had been staying for more than one night. There was also a bbq on our deck.
The service from the owner was good and there was no issue in allowing a early check in.
The only downside to the Inn was the list of Rules. From Footwear to dishes to the Hot Tub...rules everywhere.
I also believe that the room cost should include the usage of the Hot Tub.
There was no individually wrapped soap but there was shower gel.
The coffee for the perculator was not individually wrapped but put in a mason jar and the two tea bags available were a Chia Tea and something i did not recognize.
The upside outweighed the down and I would return to this Inn.

Thank you for your stay with us and for your review. It seems you enjoyed your stay overall but there were a few issues that kept you from enjoying your stay to the fullest. I would like to take this opportunity to address these concerns and hopefully help to explain our rationale for some of the areas of concern. We understand that there are rules and policies posted in the suite, but they are posted to ensure the safety of our guests, and to maintain the quality of our suites. For example, the reason we ask people to remove outdoor footwear when they enter their suite is to protect the quality of our floors. We have had damage in the past due to small rocks and sand scaping the floor and in the winter time salt damaging the floors. The list of hot tub rules is posted to help ensure the safety of our guests and that they are provided with clear information on the hot tub and not have to go searching for it in their emails. In terms of dishes, as a result of some significant messes left for housekeeping to have to clean up we have had to put this policy in place. We have full kitchens in our suites with all the pots and pans, etc provided for guests to use. So when guests leave all of these items unwashed, it puts a large demand on our resources and slows down our time to be ready for check-in. To resolve this, we have had to request that guests clean up their dishes before checking out, and we have made that easy for them by providing a dishwasher and dishwasher pods. The fee is to deter this issue from happening. The coffee is placed in an air-tight, sealed container for guests to enjoy. For the hot tub fee, it is only for those who use the hot tub amenity, in order to not increase our nightly rates for everyone. We believe this is a fair way of managing the operational costs, labour costs, capital costs, etc of a hot tub. We believe that adding the hot tub fee to the nightly rate would not be fair to those who do not wish to use a hot tub. And finally, for the soap concern, there are soap dispensers provided in the kitchen as well as the bathroom, along with individual shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Thanks again for your stay. I hope that this response helps to address your concerns and that it helps with understanding our rationale for some of the policy decisions we have had to make to ensure a safe, comfortable and quality experience for guests and staff.

Spacious suite with well equipped kitchen. Generous beds and clean environment.
Amazing views!! We enjoyed the little town. Unfortunately there is no restaurant for eating out.
The Bordeaux hiking trail that starts in town is an AMAZING and well maintained walking path around the coast. We enjoyed every minute of our weekend away

So glad you enjoyed your weekend stay at our place! Thanks so much for your review and feedback. The hiking trail in the town truly is amazing for sure, so glad you enjoyed it. There is a restaurant and a couple other food establishments in the town and nearby, but maybe you didn't have success in finding the hours to work for you as their hours and days during the pandemic are limited. I hope to have you back again some day and enjoy some of the other beautiful trails in our area.

+1
Our stay at The Killick Inn and Suites was very pleasant. The people in the area are friendly, especially the older generation, who are always up for a "yarn". Arnold's Cove has all the amenities you would need to stay for a while at minimal cost, especially when you stay at the Killick Inn and Suites; providing you with a full kitchen and BBQ for cooking. The owners and staff are friendly and very helpful. The highlight of our trip was the Bordeaux Trail. There are 5 other trails close to the Killick Inn and Suites.

I was needing a room for a few weeks while working in the area and found this place instead of your typical hotel. This by far was the best place to be while away from home. You will not be disappointed as the rooms are in perfect condition which have everything you would need and more. to compliment this the owners and housekeeping are so accommodating and make you feel right at home. i would definitely recommend anyone looking for a room to make it a point to reserve a spot here.

Our family of 4 had a great stay in this quiet, clean and well appointed suite. It had so many comfortable elements that made our stay enjoyable including a full kitchen and washer/dryer. The view of the cove is lovely. Be aware that the hot tub is only available by booking a 45 min time slot for $40.

My wife and I stayed in the Killick Inn and Suites for one night during our 2 week vacation touring this beautiful province of Newfoundland. In planning our tour of Newfoundland, I try to book overnight stays about 2 hours apart from the previous overnight so as to not have an overly long car drive between locations. I booked Killick Inn and Suites to provide a shorter drive between St John’s and Bonavista. Our stay at Killick exceeded our expectations! As the other reviews here attest, the accommodations are exceptionally clean, new and spacious. We had a two bedroom unit. The area is beautiful and the view from the deck of the ocean and bird sanctuary across the street is gorgeous! There is a Foodland a few minutes down the road if you are in need of provisons and that area is well worth taking the short drive down to for the beautiful views of the ocean there as well. I highly recommend Killick Inn and Suites for an overnight stay while touring Newfoundland!

My wife and I, celebrating our 63rd wedding anniversary, found us in Arnold's Cove towards the end of our 2 week, 3300 km driving trip. We booked two nights at the Killick and because of the quality and location of this Inn, extended our stay by one more night. A great location to explore the Avalon and Bonavista Peninsulas, as well the city and surrounding area of St John's, the accommodations were, by far , the best we stayed in on this trip. Spacious, clean, fully equipped and handicap friendly, nothing is lacking. The owner/operators, Darlene and Andy have created a wonderful environment which enhanced our trip beyond our expectations.

We were in Arnold's Cove for a family gathering and myself and my wife booked accommodation at the Kellick Inn and Suites. The booking process was flawless and our stay there was beyond our expectations. The suite was spacious with all of the amenities one would wish for whether one stayed for a night or an extended stay. The Inn is directly across from the Big Pond Bird Sanctuary and we had a magnificent view of it. We also experienced an amazing sunrise over the hills beyond the sanctuary.
We would highly recommend the Killick Inn and Suites to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.
