Building with character and views, friendly and knowledgeable host. Situated just below the castle and the old town (the best bits) with views for miles over the marais. Interesting place to stay in an interesting town - highly recommended.

As part of a stay in Normandy, we booked a room for three nights at Numero Cinq. It was really pleasant, with the room beautifully furnished and lots of attention to detail. Jacqueline and Richard made us feel very much at home and provided lots of answers to our extensive questions about what to do and where to go!! Breakfast...

We stayed here for three nights on our way down to the loire valley. Perfect little chambre d' hote. (B&B). Run by Jacqueline and Richard an ex patriate english couple. Lovely room at the top of the house. Views well worth the 42 stairs to the top. Our room with the best view had an nice little ensuite with a...

We came back here this year, having stayed here a few years ago on a bike tour. It was lovely to see Jaci again and great that the place is still as good as it was before - not always the way with some chambre d'hotes. This is a great stop-off, especially if you are cycle touring in France. It...

We just stayed for one night during the "visit to castles" portion of our Brittany/Normandy exploration. Domfront was a reasonable drive from Mont St Michel, and the old town is quaint and picturesque, although not a whole lot going on, at least in April (read: one restaurant open). This B&B, however, is highly recommended, should you find yourself in the...

We booked the Numero Cinq after traveling through Domfront to Le Mans in 2012, the medieval town had a charming appeal that inspired me to return this year. We found the B and B online and read the reviews that had been written on TripAdvisor. The property sits at the foot of the old town walls overlooking a Valley. We...

We spent 3 days here and loved every minute. The house is lovely and the welcome warm and friendly. We liked the house enormously and felt very comfortable. The town of Domfront is really interesting and full of mediaeval character and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. As is the view from the bedroom, old-fashioned windows looking over geraniums and an...

Within easy reach (2.5 hours going slowly) from Cherbourg, in a delightful old town. Fairly easy to find - clear directions given. Jaqueline (who's English) is very friendly and welcoming, and full of information about the town, places to eat etc. Reserved us a table at excellent local bistro, and provided a very good breakfast. Highly recommended.

We stayed in this remarkable Chambres d'Hote for three nights as we returned to the UK from a family holiday in Brittany. A warm welcome and great facilities. Clean and well-ordered. Excellent breakfast. No problem with car parking, even though there is no dedicated car park on account of its location in the city remparts

Making our way lazily back from the Loire to the ferry we arrived here mid afternoon with absolutely no idea where to stay. In the tourist office they gave us the usual brochure and as usual, they weren't able to recommend anywhere so we had a look at the 2 hotels on the main road first. Both pretty unglamorous, so...
