We came to France for a tour of the north Atlantic coast. Caen was just a night stop on the way. This hotel is situated in a relatively good place. Very quite and very clean. Caen is also a great place and is certainly worth an evening visit. The hotel is not cheap at all (80 Euros) but at least... More

Usual campanile style, but they have certainly cut back on the things that used to make it just about bearable. The salad bar used to be good, with salmon, cold meats etc. Now a few tired lettuce leaves; the deserts used to be dishes, now everything in minuscule glasses. samething for the breakfast.

This hotel is basic. The rooms are noisy (beside the exit from a dual carriageway and not far from dual carriageway). The hotel is placed at an angle to the busy road so that no rooms face the road but all the rooms are placed sideways to the road. There are trees but if you are sensitive to noise then... More

We stayed here for practical reasons--to be close to the D-Day beaches--and it worked out for that reason. The room was small and basic, free wifi was offered, the restaurant offered simple options, and there was really nothing around it in walking distance. But it was bed and board and helped launch us to see the Normandy beaches the following... More
