Been there twice. On 2014 and 2018. It's the best hotel you can go with your kids to relax. It's by the sea with an excellent breakfast. Kind owner and a village that has every shop you want! I recommend it for calm vacations with your family!

We stay at the hotel 5 days at the end of May. Everything was super - breakfast includes handmade bread, comfort (tv, air conditioner, hair dryer, WI FI), clean (every day), relaxed. During a rainy day the host recommended us a nice places to visit. For sure I will come again!!! Gerakini is in the middle of Kassandra and Sithonia and there's an opportunity to visit many beaches. Gerakini is a calm place, for a party go to Nikiti or Nea Moudania - 20-30 km from the hotel.

I was very disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend and will try to give reasons for this Pluses: - size of rooms and balconies - reasonably friendly owners, good English spoken - clean - towels changed every day if you leave them on the floor but only one bath and one hand towel per person - low price Minuses: - location: in the middle of a crossing of 3 busy roads. This means that on any side of the hotel you can hear traffic and it is very noisy. Even closing the glass doors does not help much with the noise. - not so close to the sea as advertised. The closest beach is approx 150 meters away and you need to cross a busy road to get there - the sea view is actually a corner of sea you can see in the distance over the car park, road and other buildings - breakfast is the most minimal breakfast I have ever seen in my life. There are 3 breakfast "sets" that you get by rotation and each of them is actually really meager. Just one example: one day you get one hard boiled egg, some green olives, one coffee, one very small glass of very dilluted orange juice, 2-3 slices of bread, a slice of sponge cake, butter and packed jam. - bathrooms are small and with minimal amenities. Hot water is not always available - hard beds and especially hard pillows - very worn down towels

I don't understand why you over exaggerate on everything. The road we are located on is a simple beach road, and not a main road... how busy can it be? Especially in June... The beach is located 50m. away if you follow the path straight across the hotel. The organized beach with sun beds and beach bar is 150m. away. (very far for lazy people...) Concerning the beds, the room you stayed in a room that has brand new beds and matresses! Finally about the breakfast, for 3€!!! per person that you payed, we offer the best breakfast possible. With 3€ outside hotel grounds you can maybe afford to buy a single coffee... It actually seemed to me that you really liked our breakfast, since you never skipped one even if you occasionally hadto run back from the beach in order to make it on time. I also must remind you that you stayed at a 2 star hotel with the lowest price in the area. Thank you for your review Karina Rosu.

Hello, I visited this hotel for 3rd time, this year I was in room 19. I would like to share my excellent opinion about this hotel - the room was clean, sheets and towels were changed regularly. The personnel attitude towards guests was excellent, they did their best to fulfill any additional requests that I had. Breakfast and lunch were good - quality was good, quantity was enough. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs calm and friendly environment during vacation. Regards, Nikolay

Room: Comfort, clean, plain Location: Not on the beach, but very close to it (2 minutes). The beach is clean and not overcrowded. Amenities: No kitchen facilities, TV and Wi-Fi appropriate. The only remark we had is about the breakfast. Maybe it is cheap in terms of money, but for sure it is not enough for no one. My advice is that it is better not to offer this kind of breakfast. Without this remark, i would give 5 star rating in terms of value to money ratio.

Booked this hotel at the end of the August 2013 for 2 nights. The price was low for halkidiki 40 euros per night for single room. The room was spacy with new furniture, but old floor, windows etc. the sink in the bathroom was broken.average cleaniness at best. the balcony was awful, very small, right next to the other balconies with no dividing parting and dirty, old plastic balcony furniture. Due to the closeness of the balconies, which were literally stuck to each other, i could hear music noise and laughter until 2 a.m. from people sitting at the next 2 balconies. i had to close the windows in order to sleep. The worst thing though, was that there was NO HOT WATER in the bathroom. It was only tolerable enough to wash you feet. At first i thought this was the first night's problem and that it would be solved, but the next day there was still no hot water. When i told the manager about the problem, he was very rude and arrogant and he insisted that there were 'tons of hot water'. I asked him to come up in my room and check it out, and when he did and there was obviously no hot water, he still told me, ' this is hot water, and if you let it run, more hot water will come out eventually'. It was so unacceptable to do that, and he treated me like i was stupid or crazy. I told him i 'm leaving because of this problem, and he still insisted that i was leaving because i have found a better lodging for the second night and there was no problem with the water...!!!!! He made me pay half the price for the second night, even though i checked out. He was totally unprofessional and rude and even though he owns a budget hotel and you can't expect much, i think hot water in the shower is a precondition for booking and staying.

A nice small family-run hotel. The rooms were very clean and set everyday. Bathroom was very clean as well. There were mosquito nets on windows - including the small bathroom window. Breakfast was quite poor and not buffet, but as much can be expected. The staff was very polite and helpful. The beach is way more than 50 meters away, about 5-7 min. walk. The most downside was the rooms were not soundproof at all, some people stayed and talked on their balconies or rooms all through the night - not possible to get any sleep at all. Bathroom very noisy as well. Also, we had to close the balcony shutter blinds every time we went out and all through the night, since the balcony door didn't lock and we were warned anyone can enter and steal our stuff from there. Finally - clean enough for a budget stay . There is also nothing else much to do in Gerakini, although the beach is very nice.
