On my way down to Rome from North Italy I stopped at il Corno one evening to rest after a long drive. Wonderful and friendly reception , I had a large and comfortable room. Dinner was excellent, I had pasta with wild boar sauce and tasted all their wines. A place to go back to, definitely!

This is not only a castle, but also a vineyard and quaint hotel. It is family run. The first time I visited Il Corno, I was a guest of the local Clante wine tasting club so there was a festival of an evening with food, wine and entertainment. I was personally invited back and continued to find it an amazing...

On 1st of August 2016 my wife and I made a nice trip in the beautiful Tuscany. An Italian friend told us we should visit the little town Val di Pesa and do not miss the restaurant Tenuta il Corno. The temperature was excellent and we had a table outside under the Tuscan sky. We asked the chef to surorise...

Wonderful quaint hotel in the Tuscan countryside. Comfortable large room, good facilities. We ate in the restaurant two nights and the food was excellent as was the service. Breakfast served outside on the terrace was lovely. A large swimming pool was a welcome break in the heat. Could not fault this place and will definately return if in the area...

We spent the last 5 days of our family vacation at Tenuta Il Corno. We couldn't have asked for a better finish to our time in Italy! We stayed in the Annex section and the beautiful surroundings were breathtaking and so peaceful. Maria Guilia, Paolo, Simone (our favorite was the steak with beautiful greens and the wonderful amuse-bouche), Enrica,Filippo and...

Wonderful location in the Tuscan hills; all the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable; Paolo & Lucca in the osteria were the best - very knowledgable and helpful with the menu and the wine selections (from on site!); fabulous rooms - "Ragnaia" - very large with facilities; very historical site dating...

The room was excellent. My girlfriend and I spent 4 days at Il Corno and we couldn't be happier. Location was fantastic. We used it as our base and traveled to Florence, San Gimignano, Certaldo and Volterra only a few minutes away. Food at the local reastaurant was delicious and the view of the Tuscan hills is one we will...

We are a family of 8 - from a 9 year old to grandparents. The warm, engaging staff encouraged us to eat family-style trying the specialties of the house. It was a great decision. We started with two wonderful antipasti plates, moved on to two fresh pastas, had the most delicious beef stew and pork loin and finished with sweet...

We had booked a three day stay at Il Corno through a tour company and had read some good reviews but we were probably not prepared for how amazing it actually was. From the moment we were welcomed by Philipo and his knowledge of their wines and the area to the fabulous Paulo in the restaurant it was just magical....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is one of the most beautiful estates in Val di Pesa and was built by the ancient Del Corno family in the 12th century. The family committed itself with diligence and dedication to enhancing the rural environment and this estate was turned into a real "agronomical park". In 1523 - when the Renaissance was at its peak - the estate passed to the Strozzi family.Il Corno became their summer house. Since 1911 it is owned by the Counts Frova Arroni di Arrone, who carried on all its traditional agronomic activities - oil and wine production - with diligence and commitment, in a perfect union between high technology, traditional methods and respect for the environment. Towards the end of the 1990s some of the main country houses of the estate were restored and renovated and today they serve as accommodation for our guests. There are rooms and apartments - partly made up of original pieces - where tradition, elegance and simplicity create a real magic atmosphere. Here you will spend very relaxing holidays, sun baths or swimming in one of our pools surrounded by our big park. Enjoy some of our delicious typical food and drinking one of our fine wines !!. Finally, the Villa represents a romantic Renaissance-style location where to celebrate weddings, parties , meetings, conventions and any other events. You can stay in our country houses in an apartments or in a room, elegantly furnished, partly with original and antique pieces . The hills of the Chianti region, with vineyards and olive trees, characterize the splendid landscape that surrounds our country houses. These houses were built more than 500 years ago and they have been restored taking great care to preserve their original structure, materials and furniture. Their wooden beams and terracotta floors perfectly match the comfort and modernity of the services provided. You will experience the best of your holiday diving into our swimming pools surrounded by nature, having breakfast while admiring our breathtaking landscape, tasting the excellent wines we produce or having a romantic candlelit dinner. ... more   less
