If you are a nature lover, enjoy good food and value the architechture of rural areas, this is the place to go to. I have read the reviews of people disliking the venue, and I can say this much : if you are looking for a city like hotel venue, where you are served breakfast in bed and people clean...

+ Friendly and helpful staff. It was no problem to switch rooms when we asked for one closer to the main building. + While dining at their restaurant you eat together at a big table with the other guests, which was very special and fun. Live music before and after dinner set the mood. + Good firm matresses, but in...

When we first arrived we were somewhat disappointed with the resort(access, cleanliness, comfort, decor). The road in is very rough, our Fiat Punto was very capable of negotiating the road. The road needs to be taken with patience and a light foot, it is a 20 minute drive to the pavement. The room we were in was 1km further up...

We had a fly and drive with hotels at different locations. The second one was La Casella. It was already dark when we arrived at the famous road. Taking this road is not something you want to do in the dark, especially not if it is the first time. Lots of stones and potholes...severe risk of damaging your car or...

When we first got here I was really disappointed. The road leading to the resort is all rocks and uneven. The room we got was basic. It was a drive from the main house. The people at the resort were very nice and helpful. Breakfast and Dinner are included and were acceptable. You are eating food that the general Italian...

We visited this resort in June as part of our RCI timeshare points. We enjoyed the resort and meeting the people for evening dinner was one of the highlights. Our room in the main building was pleasant but the walls were thin and we suffered from an inconsiderate couple in the next room who often were up early in the...

If you want to be remote and tranquil, totally away from everything then this may be for you. There is a 6km stony track to be travelled from the main road (bump, scrape, ruin your suspension; a nightmare) then we had a further 1.1km steeply up a stone track to our room - our car could not make it and...

We spent a week in late June at La Casella and really enjoyed it. We arrived by car after a busy week in Rome and followed the instructions we got from the resort and found the place easily. The road is gravel but easy to drive, it takes about twenty minutes to get to the resort from the main road....

Don't follow your GPS when you drive up to La Casella. It will take you by a terrible dirtroad with 18% slopes! Look at the directions on the site. We did follow our GPS and after a nervewrecking 9 kms arrived at the ecolodge, which is really eco, all dark wood. We were given the key to our room, which...

Our family trip to Umbria was certainly enhanced by staying at La Casella, it was exactly as we expected it to be. The rural location was wonderfully relaxing and Stefania, her family and staff looked after us very well indeed. We had a slight hiccup with transport on leaving the UK so we were immensely relieved when Stefania managed to...
