This hotel is just lovely. We’ve enjoyed a fabulous week chilling out by the pool. All areas are spotlessly clean and we were well looked after. We stayed bed and breakfast which was perfect for us. Lovely location with no shortage of bars and restaurants to choose from. Excellent vale for money.

This was our 5th stay in this hotel but our first in the club volcan area. The location of the hotel by the Rubicon marina is the best location in playa Blanca. The hotel is spacious, exceptionally clean and quirky. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Wherever you stay in the hotel you would not be disappointed but the club area does add to the experience. The heated pool, Balinese beds and jacuzzis are lovely. The views are amazing from the club area. Afternoon tea was lovely, the evening drinks made a lovely start to the evening. Dinner in the hotel is always of a high standard. Most of the evening entertainment in the hotel was really good and great fun. However good any hotel is the factor that makes it exceptional is the staff and everyone in the hotel is so friendly and helpful that they make it a wonderful place to stay. Also in the current times the COVID prevention measures were evident and very welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing experience in a great location.

I booked a weeks stay at this hotel through Jet2 holidays. I was travelling on my own and wanted a relaxing week of sunshine and good food. I contacted the hotel directly to ask if I could have a quiet room with a sunny balcony / terrace. They said they couldn't guarantee that, but would do their best. I booked the most basic room category and it had a very spacious bathroom (with bath and shower over) a large seating area and a terrace with 2 chairs and a table. My room was quite distant from the main areas and was relatively quiet. However the terrace opened right onto the children's pool. (3 metres away). Although there weren't many children at this time of year, there were occasions when families with very young children enjoyed that pool. The terrace didn't get any sun until just before sunset. A lot of the rooms seem to face the same direction and the terraces seem to be well shaded from the sun (probably what you'd want in the summer months). There was aircon in the room, although I didn't really needed in November. And tea and coffee making facilities were welcome. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. As others have mentioned, there were no English speaking channels on the TV. The hotel is large and well spread out with lots of pathways to get round and about. It took me a while to orientate myself and it was lovely to wander round and explore the site. There are some lovely views. The architecture is quirky and charming. The main atrium (where reception is) is stunning. I went to breakfast every morning between 7.30 and 8am. It was quiet at those times but got busier after 8.30. The breakfast room is large and bright and sits over the pool with lovely views. The hot and cold buffet selection was excellent with self service coffee / tea machines that were also really good quality. There was also the option to have sparkling wine and mix your own bellinis or mimosas! The hotel location is right on the marina, and one of the reasons I chose it. From the main pool area you can walk out and be right on the marina amongst all the cafes, restaurants, shops in seconds. There is also a very good craft market on Wednesdays and Saturdays along the marina. There are also some great walks along the cliffs to the east and along the waterfront to Playa Blanca to the west. A walk to the end of the harbour wall is also very refreshing with great views of Fuerteventura. I spent most afternoons near the pool. There are various areas for sunbathing and plenty of loungers to go round. The pool bar opens at 12pm and you can get a range of drinks and cocktails to take to your lounger and snacks to eat in the bar area. In the evenings it was so easy to walk to the Marina to eat tapas, have a drink or two, and watch the sun set. There are plenty of places to choose from. As a solo traveller I felt very safe and relaxed here and would recommend this hotel, and Marina Rubicon in general, to others travelling on their own.

Our visit to the Club area of the Volcan was absolutely excellent. We booked the Club double room, and it was more like a junior suite in other hotels we have visited, with a separate seating area and very comfortable bed. It had plenty of wardrobe space and shelves(no drawers for undies etc), and had a proper hairdryer with different speeds and heat settings….so much better than the ones in many hotels we have visited that are basically on/off and are directly wired in the bathroom. It also had an expandable drying line over the bath, and plenty of good quality toiletries. To enter the Club you must use your room key to open the gate, so it feels as though it is separate from the rest of the hotel. The benefits are that you have your own pool area with plenty of loungers, cabanas and towels, as well as a bar that opens late morning and provides snacks and drinks(all at extra cost). It is very pleasant to look at as it is covered in artificial grass on top of decking. It also has a separate dining room where you go for breakfast, afternoon tea(free of charge), and the bit we liked most, a free bar from 6.30 to 9, where you make the drinks yourself. There is also a decent selection of both savoury and sweet snacks. The main part of the hotel is so different from any we have been in before, as it feels and looks as if you are in a village rather than a hotel. The main entrance hall is like a chapel with candles and music, and the area under the volcano is absolutely stunning with plants and a waterfall. This is where the nightly entertainment takes place….virtually all of whom were wonderful. If you visit when Elvis is performing don’t miss him!! The only disappointment was that currently only the buffet restaurant and Yaiza snack bar are open for food, and I feel that this should be stated on the hotel website. As we had paid for half board, and were too lazy to go out to the marina, which is less than a minute’s walk from the back gate, we ate every evening from the buffet which had a great selection of very tasty food. In no way did the absence of the other restaurants spoil our holiday. Finally, the one thing that makes this hotel stand out from many others is the wonderful, friendly staff, so a big shout out to all of them. We’d especially like to thank(in no particular order), the very friendly waiter Fran whose first night coincided with ours; Yusmary who Googled how to make Singapore Slings(not on the menu); the very entertaining Zakaria from the Club; and finally Nadia the pool attendant who was crying when we said goodbye. Congratulations Natalia(general manager) and Claudia(her assistant), you run an excellent hotel with wonderful staff.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, amazing facilities, great breakfast, attentive staff throughout - would thoroughly recommend. Location is perfect for a range of top class restaurants many of them looking out over the marina; we were spoilt for choice.
