I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and practicality of the hostel. Everything has been thought of, many small thought out details. I had a room at the back and it was super quiet It's not a party vibe this time of the year, more families and nature lovers.

Big hostel, room was spacious, I liked how we could have separate toilets and bathroom. Everything was clean. The cafe and breakfast buffet was quite good. Lots of things to do for kids on the huge play area. Also a nice terrace outside. Bike rentals were good. Bikes were maintained. Parking is not so huge but there is a big public parking right beside. It's a short bike/walk to the center, and it's a really small island so everything is around a 20 min bike or car ride away.

I had a pleasant stay at the Stayokay Texel. I found the accommodation to be clean, well taken care of, and located in a central location that made visiting local attractions possible. The breakfast was included in the dorm price and I found it to be fresh, well-prepared, and plentiful. If you are a tall person, I suggest renting a bike from the ferry landing in 't Horntje since the Stayokay bikes are meant for shorter people and I found biking to the lighthouse to be painful on my knees.

We have been staying with a group tos tay okay. the location is good, the staff are quite friendly and hostel itself is nice and have some facilities to fill your time with. the bar offer local gin and vodka as well which is nice.

I was traveling alone, but enjoyed the diversity from the hostel! The dinner and breakfeast where better then some all inclusive resorts! If you are planning to do a lot of biking rent an electric bike!

The Stayokay facility in Texel is an excellent choice for travelers. With multiple rooming options, easy booking, and location, I would highly recommend this hostel when staying on Texel. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful with recommendations. The facility is very clean.

This place is great! The staff are super friendly and are able to help with any queries. I stayed in a four bed room. The room was basic but clean and my room mates were really lovely. Breakfast is included: it is a feast! I had home made apple pancakes. The bar is friendly and on both occasions that I used it there were friendly people to talk to. I hired a bike from the hostel which seems to be the best way to travel on Texel.

Our room was very basic. Liked separate shower and toilet. Table and chairs outside room facing the garden was nice. We paid extra to have beds made up instead of making up our own bed. Breakfast was good. This Stayokay is popular with groups, including school groups. Busy with children, also at breakfast and I had to step in to quieten them down after 10:30pm so we could sleep.

We used the StayOK as our one-night basecamp for a nice trip to Texel during the big heat-wave of 2018. Although not walking distance from the ferry, the StayOK is in a great spot for visiting many places on this small island. We drove a car (parking is free) and were able to leave gear early if we wanted to. It was a short drive to many interesting locations from the hotel (we hiked the north end of the island the first day, the southern heather fields the second morning). StayOK rents quality bikes and we used them to ride 3 miles to an eclectic museum (Kaap Skil) on the coast - and then return via a 5 mile route home (including along the ocean). We purchased moderately inexpensive buffet dinners at the hotel; both were decent (on our night - the meal was sort of Indonesian/Asian style). The breakfast (included) was excellent. The hotel definitely caters to families and seemed attractive to large local groups of youth so you may want to bring earplugs. But the rooms were basic and comfortable (we slept in a room with 2 bunks, and a private bathroom). Make sure you bring your own towel and expect to sheet/make your bed!…
