The hotel offers basic rooms, but they are very clean and the staff is corteous and helpful. We stayed there for 1 night, combined with a seafood festival in a neighbouring town. It was ok. The breakfast buffet has everything one would like. Different kinds...More
First of all it's a nice hotel, rooms are acceptable and comfortable and the price is reasonable, drawbacks are very noisy heating good luck getting big bags up the narrow stairs, for a quick stay though it's good and I'd come again, the breakfasts down...More
The Royal seems to have grown to the neighboring houses over the years, which makes the setting a little odd but individual. The one I had was pretty big and had a recently renovated bathroom, which was nice. Not so positive were the steep stairs,...More

Just a place to stay but nothing special. If you have big luggage - better stay somewhere else as there is no lift and very uncomfortable stairs.
Room was very cold! I had 2 beds and I took all the linen to cover myself.

Hello Hotel Royal family,
My husband, Larry Kirk, and a group stayed at your hotel for about 7 months in 1980 with a company called ACT. They were associated with the glass factory. I came with our children for about a month and loved getting to know the hotel family. I know most have retired but would like to pay a visit to a place that holds lots of happy memories.
I plan to visit the August 14th and would like to visit for lunch. The ship will arrive outside Bruges and would like some suggestions on reliable transportation to Sas Van Gent.
