to experience places like this. To stay in a 16th c. caravansary designed by the Islamic world's greatest architect is a treat. Sure the rooms are a bit basic and the staff aren't willing to grovel before western tourists but don't miss this place. Make sure that you try the fried liver and almond paste, both famous local dishes and...

A basic but wonderful atmospheric and historic hotel - built by Sinan himself. Rooms are cells, like in a monastery - small and some would view cramped but you're only sleeping there and they're clean and with a modern bathroom - each room has its own domed ceiling so you can lie there thinking about all the traders from years...

It is a fascinating building with history, but the rooms are very basic, and old fashioned. They could do with a serious upgrade. The furniture was basic and cheap. It could be a fantastic place , but needs a lot of money spending on it. We checked out early as there was a wedding going on that night, with music...

A real 14th century Kervansaray is turned into a hotel. The feeling of staying in the same rooms that used to accomodate people many centuries ago, is great. If one cannot appreciate that, then he sould try another hotel. The rooms are exactly as they were, with a fireplace and the vaulted ceiling with an added bathroom.Very plain rooms which...

I found this place on the internet and booked it before I found some negative reviews. Was a bit nervous on arrival. I was really pleased with with it though. The rooms are original karavansary rooms with fireplace. The bathrooms were added with a low ceiling so that you still keep the original vaulted ceiling. The place was clean and...

This is a wonderful old and historic building, designed by the leading architect of the Ottoman empire. Sadly it is in poor condition and poorly maintained. Our room was a dump!
