I often stay in hotels and B&B around the country and I have stayed in nice and not so nice places over the years, but I always work on the assumption that if the state of the property is reflected in the price it is fair. This was but so with the Highwayman Inn. The room was poor, the door...

We ended up booking here because I had made a booking error for this weekend. We went up to our room and it was freezing so we turned on the radiator but it only got hot half way up and so did not have much effect on the warmth in the room. The towel rail in the shower room was...

Room was lovely other than that, nothing to impress. Food was below average and massively overpriced! After a 12 hour work day I couldn't get a glass of wine at the bar, even though all the staff were there! Didn't get my room cleaned, replenished in the 4 days I was there. Would go back if I had to but...

This was more like a Travel Lodge/Premier Inn but with no direct access to the bar/dining room. It was raining and so we got rather wet going to and from breakfast ( about 50 yards). The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable but the provision of a chair or two would have been appreciated. The staff were very obliging and...

The bar and hotel staff are excellent. I stopped in three rooms during my stay and found the beds worn and uncomfortable. The bed in room one needs replacing immediately as I woke up in pain after my stay. With a little updating the rooms could be comfortable and welcoming making it an outstanding place to stay.
