From the moment you enter the hotel the staff were sincerely friendly and helpful and this continued throughout our stay. The Karma group should be very proud of this team. We had a 3 night mid-week break at the hotel and ate both breakfast and evening meal on each night of our stay. There was a good selection from daily specials, a la carte and bar food menu. The chef was always willing to help with requests even if not on the menu which we found to be up and beyond. We stayed in the Anne Boleyn room which had been updated with a new bathroom and was accessed up a set of stairs from the main room. This hotel has a lot of history and the sights of Stratford Upon Avon, Broadway and Snowshill Manor are all within easy reach by car.
We had an amazing stay! This resort has a lovely character inside and outside. Food, service and staff were amazing. A big thank you to Andy for his great hospitality. Our then 10 months old baby was well looked after and we thank you all for it. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit soon.
Recently stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting the Cotswolds. We enjoyed out stay here and our room was massive with a very comfortable bed and we could not fault how clean the room was. Negatives about the room was old TV and the bathroom badly in need of updating. I appreciate it is a very old building but if money could be spent on updating the bathrooms it would really make this hotel a more appealing choice. All the staff were very friendly. Overall great stay.
Me and my Husband had our wedding reception at Salford hall and it went brilliantly, all staff were friendly and wanting to help. 10/10 would recommend having your wedding reception here as you won’t be disappointed! absolutely gorgeous hotel.
Booked two nights, through Secret Escapes. Most of the staff, were very pleasant (particularly the receptionists and the smaller/more rounded man in the breakfast area. The property has some interesting history and the complimentary brochure that was handed to us upon arrival, was excellent! Evening meal Friday night, was disappointing. I had the ribeye which was poor value for £32. My wife had the Plaice which was full of bones. Nobody asked us if everything was ok? Saturday night we were placed in the conservatory (my request due to a wedding function) and the food was very, very good. We were asked if all was ok and we responded in the affirmative. Ambience was sadly ruined by some children (wedding) running in and out of the building. They certainly had a great time (I was young once, so I swallowed it without making a fuss) Breakfast on Saturday morning was exceptional, on Sunday it was just OK. The Superior room provided (courtyard) had an excellent view of the main building, but was incredibly stuffy on Friday night. However, importantly, it was clean and quiet. Walls of the room very thin and even though our neighbours were very respectful when they got in on Saturday night, you could hear all of their conversations. Annoying observations- Only one normal tea bag on Friday night (two green tea bags were an option) , we had two on the Saturday after the room had been cleaned. A number of biscuits/nuts etc were placed by the TV but these were all chargeable. 10% service charge applied to food bill. Music too loud in the restaurant. This could be a fantastic place, as the scenery/countryside nearby was very good. Would we return, sadly No, as we did not feel that we got value for our money.…
