Stayed last night on our way to the outer Hebrides, far exceeded our expectations. Our room was immaculate and the shower brilliant, everything was scrupulously clean. Breakfast this morning would have done credit to a 5 star hotel, my scrambled eggs royale ( with copious amounts of smoked salmon) were outstanding. There are lovely woodland works directly from the hotel....

We stayed at the Fairwinds Hotel in July for a night in the middle of a long journey, the room was very tidy, the home baking was a great touch and went down perfectly with a cup of tea. The location was nice and peaceful we got a brilliant nights rest before carrying on with our travel and the breakfast...

This is an extremely well run, friendly and ideally situated bed and breakfast hotel. It's family run and the owners could not be more helpful and friendly. Our room was well equipped and spotless. The breakfasts were delicious and the attention to detail in the hotel is second to none. Ideally situated in the middle of Carrbridge, it's a super...

We made a late-ish booking for one night as we had been given a voucher for wild-life watching evening nearby. The Fairwinds Hotel turned out to be the ideal choice. Peaceful and quite in a lovely setting just behind the main street in the village of Carrbridge. Excellent room with extra touches - home baking items, and complimentary mineral water...

Great hotel, great owner and a great location. This is a lovely hotel only 5-10 minutes away from the centre of Aviemore by car. It is in the village of Carrbridge which is close by to all the sight seeing and adventure facilities.

We stayed at this small friendly hotel while we were visiting friends in the area. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners - they even lent us a dog bowl as we had yet to buy one and had left ours at home. Our Labrador loved the walks on the doorstep and the varied wildlife was a treat for...

The rooms are well equipped and spotless with home made flapjacks alongside the tea and coffee. There is also a complimentary wee dram in the lounge. Breakfast was superb and the owners extremely friendly. If you like modern glitzy hotels this is not the place for you but we loved it

We stayed for one night on a stop over from the west to east coasts. The room was a large double and was clean and very comfortable. Our only criticism was there was no hand washing in the ensuite bathroom but a sink in the bedroom so you had to wash your hands under the bath tap. Otherwise it was...

Good location close to the Landmark Centre. Attractive area. Nice people. Although described as having a bar and restaurant, make sure, unlike me, you read all of the hotel description as they don't do dinners and have a small honesty bar. Perhaps should be described more accurately as a Guest House
