Staying as part of a coach visitor group and staff treated us really well. Those working in the dining room worked really hard. There was a fair choice on the menu for evening meal. Breakfast was generally good with wide choice. Our room was adequate but with a refurbished bathroom which was first class, except for ventilation which was poor...

Was expecting more for the lunch service but was left disappointed. The lamb was dowsed in gooey gravy (although the lamb was tasty), the beef was dry and the chicken wings was once again dowsed in sweet chilli sauce and very dried chicken. I should have rated this a 1 star review except for the fact that we were hungry...

Good hotel for our tour with Newmarket. Food mostly good (except for the one night that we had chips -awful oven chips- avoid) A bizarre feature of dinner is that if you want wine you have to fetch it yourself from the bar -even if you wanted a bottle! Rooms are fine for a short stay. Ours had an old...

Stayed here on a Newmarket Travel Highlands Railways tour. Pleasant location, SPAR shop just a few steps away. Single room was fine but no hairdryer supplied. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Manager was always in evidence. Plenty of choice with the buffet breakfast. Adequate choice for dinner. Good food. Wi-fi only available in reception and then only...

This hotel was in need of an upgrade although I believe that the owners are working on this and have started to do this. The service from the staff was great and the meal was very nice. Not a bad experience and would like to visit again to find out how the upgrade is going.

We dropped in with our family for an evening meal. The restaurant staff were most attentive and attentive and the food very good. We had not made a booking but did have 4 off small grand children ! A big test ! I recommend meals and looking forward to have some nights in the hotel.

Stayed with my son and some family friends at this hotel when attending Mumford and Sons concert in Aviemore. 7 miles out but easy drive, on bus route, cycle paths and only £15 return in taxi. Hotel and staff were first class. We got a great rate and rooms were large comfortable and had recently been refurbished with new bathrooms...

We visited as part of a coach tour and had a great time. The hotel is very old but decor is fresh and clean. Rooms are big and comfortable and with newly fitted bathrooms. Public rooms are welcoming. Food was great - good choice and well presented. The entertainment was good - typically Scottish but with guests from Austria, Italy...
