Came here for one night and after a few hours we booked a second night. Everything felt right about this place. It was super cozy, great kitchens and so clean everywhere. We felt like home from the beginning. Staff if very friendly, toilet and showers clean and comfortable. Almost wished our holiday could be extented with a week.

Stayed for one night on our way from Whitianga to Auckland. We had a nice double bed; comfortable, soft linen, quiet and dark at night, airy double doors to our bedroom with good drapes, quite private, and very clean. The whole place was well kept and had a lovely energy. I especially enjoyed using a steel frying pan for my...

This backpacker lodge is in the country just two minutes from town. The rooms face out and they all have outdoor tables and chairs. There are a couple of kitchens, well stocked, great lounge areas and plenty of facilities. The owners are wonderfully helpful and friendly. This is a quiet accommodation and very peaceful. We enjoyed the setting and would...

We arrived at Tui Lodge with one night booked but instantly extended to two. A really big place with lots of chillout areas it has great vibes and we really enjoyed taking stock whilst here. Front desk is very helpful with local advice and big thumbs up for free laundry - as it should be!

I stayed on the Coromandel Peninsula for a weekend and it was as good a weekend as I could have experienced. First, this is a first-rate hostel. The room I was in was absolutely spotless, clean and quiet. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the location of the hostel, a lovely short walk from town and set at...

Stayed here over the Christmas period. Nice location, away from the town but only a 10 minute walk. Very quiet at night and cosy. Bathrooms were clean and the free laundry was very handy as were free bikes . Wide open garden, very spacious, never felt crowded. Bed was very comfy, we enjoyed our three nights here.

It is not often I give 5 stars for everything but this place had it all. Just a short bike ride away from the town ( the lodge loan you bikes and helmets for a deposit). The place is full of character, with chairs, sofas all over so there is enough space for everyone staying there. There is a free...

The town was really lovely and had great character. The hostel was nice enough. We arrived quite late in the afternoon and left straight away after breakfast. Our double room was quite small but it was very clean and tidy and it had everything we needed. It doesn't take cards so you need to make sure you have cash. They...

Tui Lodge is more like a resort than a backpackers. Quiet and beautiful, with fantastic gardens and orchards, as well as tui birds singing in the tree. The hosts are a senior couple who are really nice. A place that makes you want to stay forever.
