We booked here knowing it was the other side of the peninsula from whitianga where hot water beach and cathedral cove is, so we knew it'd be a drive to most places. It was a drive along the coastal road which felt like it'd never end and then is about ten mins drive out of the coromandel town centre. It's...

We opted last minute to stay overnight in Coromandel and stumbled upon this place due to a signpost in the road. We drove up to the top of the hill and were delighted to find this B&B with breathtaking views of the water. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and had all the amenities we needed - tea, coffee, hot...

The motel was right up the hill, but we were still slightly disappointed with the view (was expecting alittle more...). We were on the ground floor and there was an option to bbq but we did not use it. Overall the room was comfy. The motel was quite a distance away from the main town but we drove so it...

The best thing about Why Worry Motel was the view. Absolutely beautiful - but the view alone does not solicit paying $190 per night for a family suite. We were skeptical of Why Worry Motel as soon as we arrived in Coromandel. Advertised as “conveniently located”, it is a decent drive out of town and up a very steep hill....

This was a while back, but my partner thought it was a brilliant idea to surprise me with a little get away trip from the busy Auckland City to this gem retreat. We were greeted by the owners and shown to our rooms with all information given and if we needed any help, we could go to them anytime. The...

When we arrived, the host did not seem to know we were coming and asked us if we had a booking. The grounds are nice and the room lovely. We enjoyed the lovely jacuzzi and the room was big and immaculately clean. We too expected a Bed and Breakfast would have a breakfast, at least a continental one. Deb did...

We had a great three days here. A clean, well-appointed room, welcoming hosts Gail and Deb. Included breakfast was a pleasant surprise, served on balcony with stunning views.Free Wifi was a requirement of our booking but slightly disappointed that the signal did not reach our room. Walking to reception to get good signal was only a minor drawback.

I suspect the issue is that if you advertise yourself as a B&B there is an expectation that breakfast will be served. The notes in the room say that breakfast is included UNLESS advised during booking. Guess what? No breakfast. Nor we were advised during check in that we wouldn't get breakfast. Avoid.

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at the Why Worry. the welcome from Deb was warm and friendly, and the room was beautifully decorated with a fabulous view. Our hosts, Deb and Gail, could not have been more helpful. I would recommend the Why Worry to my friends and family, and would not hesitate to return.

Situated on a hilltop with superb views over Coromandel Harbour to the mountains running up the peninsula we realised we had found a gem of a stay as we arrived. Our expectations were confirmed when we received a wonderfully warm welcome and then shown to a tastefully decorated, comfortable, immaculate room. Our hosts provided an excellent continental breakfast which we...
