Hi Weelisa (love the name!) Transfer time depends on which mode of transfer you take. Taxi will take about fifteen to twenty mins, public bus (coach) leave the airport very regularly and stop five mins from the hotel - just say Kato Gouves and the name of the hotel - and takes about half an hour. I imagine a shared transfer with other holiday makers will not be much longer but will depend on how many others are getting off before you.
As for bars, towards the beach and also heading a little west (all within walking distance) there are lots of nice bars and shops. We liked a sports bar on the left further down the road past the Rainbow bar(heading towards the beach). It's not a built up place which we liked bit I imagine in peak season it's quite busy. We went in October and it was blissfully quiet
