I have stayed in 5 hotels in Nosara, actually Playa Guiones. Fortunately booked the vacation a little late as it is high season. So one of the only places available was the casita at Kaya Sol. It turned out to be one the best values and a little home away from home, for the same price as just a room...

Thank You Tricia! Your description of the value of Casita is perfect, that is exactly what we were going for when we designed the "mini home". I am glad you got up for some early surfs the beach and waves are great at first light! Your most powerful statement is-"What really makes Kaya Sol is the people." Thank you for...

Older, English speaking people drinking. If this is your thing, this is a place for you. The staff here all seemed very young and although polite, quite condescending. But that seems to be indicative throughout most of the Nosara area. My two night stay there is really a tale of two rooms, the first being a small room right behind...

My 4th time to KayaSol - it fits my need for reasonable prices, great surf, good service from staff. Susie, the manager knows the importance of good service as do the staff. They continually are checking in to see how things are going, thanking guest for staying and seeing what needs we have. Diana and Melania were did a great...

We stayed at KayaSol for 2 nights and everything was great. We got the studio apt w private bathroom and it included a fridge and safe for your valuables. The studio was clean, comfortable, and the bathroom updated. The hotel has its own path to Guiones beach which is really nice. The hotel is in Guiones North, very central to...

We stayed here three nights at the start of a trip around Costa Rica. It is in a great location in nosara - close to restaurants and near the beach. We picked it as one of the cheaper options but I got the feeling others may have been better value - the gilded iguana was across the road and I...

We stayed here for 8 days. Nosara in general is an expensive area which impacts the cost of everything including accommodation. KayaSol is one of the less expensive on Guioness beach. The grounds and pool area are quite lovely. The staff are very helpful especially Susy whose English is excellent. The location is a 5 to 10 minute walk to...

The only reason you should go there if it's you're a 20ish surfer who doesn't care about comfort or privacy. I've tested 2 different rooms and I went from bad to worse. 83$ for the first one and 75$ for the second one without actually. I had to insist and ask twice for my room to be cleaned the first...

First, let me say that we did not stay in other hotels in this area so I lack any way of comparing the KayaSol to other places. What I do know is the area is quite expensive: we are paying $85US a night (plus tax) for a non-AC, two room unit with a kitchenette. The fridge barely works and the...

We really loved this hotel. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. You could walk anywhere in Playa Guiones from the hotel. We enjoyed seeing iguanas and monkeys from our room. We were disappointed that during the week that we stayed at the hotel our room was only cleaned once. We thought that since it was...
