We stayed for 5 nights in Buena Vista Villas and had a wonderful stay. We loved it being on the mountain and therefore receiving a nice breeze. The views were stunning. Penny (SO informative and friendly) and Chester were wonderful and our 5 year old son fell in love with them. He also enjoyed getting limes from the fruit tree... More

I love Buena Vista Villas. You basically MUST have a vehicle and it ought to be an SUV, but that considered, this is my fave hotel in Nosara. The view is unbeatable and the hotel is private, quiet, and comfortable. There is immediate access to trails that provide a great experience of the tropical dry forest with species like Pochote... A few months ago I planned a trip to Costa Rica. Over the course of two weeks I asked jay all sorts of picky questions and had to book and then change my reservations. Later, at the last minute I had to cancel the whole trip. From beginning to end, Jay was very helpful and understanding and I appreciate his... More

We stayed in Villa 3 which only had windows opening on one side and it was almost too hot to sleep. We kept the ceiling fan running and Penny brought over a very small fan to put in the window, but it really did not help. Even though there was a nice breeze outside and the temps cooled down at... This was a really great place for us to stay. There was a kitchen and fridge in our room, clean and cozy with a great view. We had a roof top deck to view the ocean and surroundings from and on our second stay we had our own porch with a hamik for afternoon chilling. Buena Vista Villas has accommodation... More

BVV is a dramatic spot high up on a ridge with a roof-top balcony - spectacular views of ocean and mountains. Penny and Chester are kind and generous hosts who helped us enjoy the beach and restaurant and made sure we were comfortable. Good driving directions and GPS are essential but the welcome is warm and the experience rewarding.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was wonderful. Nice and quiet. Plenty of wildlife, I loved the monkeys. Buena Vista Villas had everything I needed including a great hostess, Penny, who took care of all my needs. Just far enough from town to get rid of the dust and noise. Great view, clean rooms with a small kitchen... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in Villa 5 and it was wonderful. Close to town yet away from the dust of the road and all the noise. The only sounds were the birds and the monkeys. Wonderful shady porch and a mini kitchen with a good size fridge, microwave and sink. Great views. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds and... More

My family, 5 adults, spent 8 days during the New Year 2013-2014 at the La Casa Buena Vista. The place is wonderful, the panoramic view from the terrace, whether at sunrise, sunset or during the dark night sky with millions of stars is indeed glorious. The house is comfortable with two suites and a large living room with two sofa... More

The views are incredible, the property very peaceful and quiet. The room was extremely clean and up to date furnishings. A basic kitchenette is helpful to be able to fix a little breakfast or light lunch. The property is high up on a mountain top with tons of monkeys and wildlife around. About 10 minutes from all the beaches, and... More

“Villa is the only one available with windows on 2 sides. It has the option of opening into Villa 1 (if you know the people staying there) so you could get a cross breeze. Originally we tried to rent Villa 1 for our family and Villa 2 for ourselves, but Villa 2 got rented to someone else before we could confirm it! Bummer”
