This is a funky little surf resort with a great vibe and enough third world charm to make you feel like you're really out there...the giveaway is that the rooms are nice and the infrastructure (plumbing, fans, electric...) all works well. Every meal has a local flair and was delicious...don't plan on losing weight here. While I was there Vicky...

When my surfing husband booked a week at Corky Carroll's in Nosara, I was skeptical. I don't surf, even though I love being in the water. And I loved Nosara from a previous trip there. I'm pretty self-sufficient, but I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. What surprised me were 3 things: First was the sense...

A few surf friends and myself stayed at the school recently, and are all very pleased with our experience. The knowledgeable and enthusiastic coaches along with the video review helped improve our surf abilities in a very short amount of time. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are spacious and impeccably clean (added points for being able to flush the toilet...

We loved the homey and casual feel of Corky's. But don't get me wrong, these guys know how to SURF!! They are interpersonally astute and know how to reach each person depending on skill level, temperament and confidence. Each day were matched with a different instructor, each who had a new skill to impart to us. The other reviewers are...

If you are reading this, you are probably sorting through a pool of surf schools and surf camps in Costa Rica. You may have even come across luxury surf camps, camps that offer massages, massages while you are on a board surfing, etc. If you want to surf, at any level, look no further... Anyone who has been here can go...

Like most people who stay here, I've been back since the first visit and will probably go again. It's so nice to be able to walk to the surf and then have all that great food to come back to when you are done. The instructors are great and I especially love Rick's whole steps program, as well as the...

We stepped out of the van, and the earth was shaking, literally. Collin met us at the gate with a kind "Hello.", Then a loud voice from the balcony, "Did you feel that? Earthquake!" We look up to see a white haired man, toothbrush in one hand, and toothpaste drool spitting "Welcome to Costa Rica!" (Enter Crazy Uncle Rick, the...

My first trip was Nov. 2011 and I was hooked. Now twice a year(sometimes for two weeks), and it's not enough. Feels like a second home in Costa Rica. Great staff and a friendly laid back atmosphere. Food is outstanding and the beer is cold. The instruction is excellent and all of the crew are patient. Always have a great...

I am one of the "regulars" that goes to Corky's. I'm an avid surfer, having started only 5 years ago, and randomly I picked Corky's as the second surf camp ever I went to. I have since been back >10 times in those 5 years. I've been to a scattering of other surf camps in Costa Rica and Mexico in...

I have been to Corky Carrolls Surf School 6 times and keep going back. Its laid back, relaxing, fun, you meet new people every time you are there and lets not forget the surf is great. The food is excellent and the whole crew makes you feel right at home. I know how to surf so I don't take lessons...
