Priced like a hotel, but no more comfort than you would expect from a hostel. We did not have water in the room (as in could not even flush the toilet) for two days, and the manager showed no interest towards fixing things. Terrible service attitude from the staff and the manager. Crappy beds. Food was great.

First of all, this hotel is not in Nosara, but the small beach Garza. Maybe they use Nosara in the name to trick people into coming there? Warning: if you want a comfortable stay, you should not come here. Actually I was really surprised when I got here, because the rating is so good.. The only thing I can think... More

The staff was pleasant and helpful, and they spoke English well. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The restaurant served great meals. The hotel is close to a beautiful and natural beach. The beach was a departure point for sport-fishing and for diving. Our stay at the hotel was comfortable, and we thank the staff for this experience!

I originally booked three nights at this hotel but I left a day early. The hotel itself is nice. There is a pool and it was clean. There is a bar and the food was good. However, there is nothing within walking distance. No bars or restaurants. The main issue I had and the reason I left early was the... More

Hotel prices for hostel quality. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. I didn't appreciate the ever present puddle in my bathroom or the odor in my room. The pool was closed the entire time I was there. Although I do suggest that you go for their lunch or dinner which is very good.

This is a very casual place, just across from the beach. The owner and chef wanders around in shorts, as do his two dogs and his cat. Our room had just two double beds and a shelf - not even a chair or a hook on which to hang our clothes. And they did not clean the room during the... More

Garza Hotel was our 4th stop on our Costa Rican Road Trip. We picked this place because we wanted something away from touristy areas, & we wanted to FISH. Juri, the owner, took my boyfriend fishing in the morning, & Guido took us both fishing in the evening, where we caught a huge red snapper. The hotel was perfect... the... More

Juri is a charming man who has brought his talents from Italy to Playa Garza. He's opened a very quaint hotel that's situated right across the street from an extremely picturesque beach. Unfortunately we weren't able to stay at the hotel this trip, but we still got to experience a wonderful dinner. We decided to order the house special, fresh... More

My husband and I stayed here for an overnight on our way to Samara. Playa Garza is one of our favorite beaches and we decided to spend one night of our trip down the coast at Hotel Playa Garza. We couldn't have been more pleased. Juri & staff truly make you feel welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable. The... More

Had a great time here. Juri & staff were all great & entertaining. Food was exceptional. Chef prepared fresh caught fish for dinner. This is a very simple place, not a Ritz Carrolton, but that's what made it fun! Beach is right across the street.
