It was a very excellent place to stay, I stay for 5 weeks and the host and everyone who works at the Hostal Las Puertas are friendly, helpful. The installations are well take care, clean, and very nice location, where supermarkets, banks, ATM, restaurants and historical places are just a few steps.
We decided to stay in the city for a few days and heard about this B&B hostel. We got a nice room with a private bath. The service was beyond what I expected from a hostel. The family that runs it goes out of their way to make you feel your at home and tries hard to meet your needs. They can prepare breakfast if you tell them in advance. I enjoyed being close to everything. They’re close to the city market and if in a hurry and hungry you can eat at the Pollo Campero or try the local “panes chucos”, their version of a hot dog from the street carts. I like walking to their main plaza an watch people in the plaza where the theater, cathedral and local government buildings are. They’re beautiful!
Although we spent only one night here, everybody was very helpful, obliging and friendly. We had some problems to organize the following days of our trip and the staff helped us patiently with some great ideas and phone calls. Additionally: Superclean rooms (without window but beautiful atrium), fast WIFI and a well equipped kitchen. Thank you so much!
As I am writing this I am still here at Las Puertas, which says a lot. Usually I wait till I leave to write, in case something happens that changes my opinion, but here I am confident it will stay this good. It was a blessing in disguise as the every-so-popular Casa Verde was full, and they sen the here. Skeptical at first, as they charge a little more, but the moment I entered the (dorm) room I was surprised. Room smelt of flowers, and if not for the bunk beds it would have passed as a hotel room. Staff were so kind, friendly and helpful, answered al our questions, even texted their friends to find out when they weren't sure. Kitchen was ample and the courtyard is nicely decorated. The only thing was the AC in my room didn't work, but they brought me in a fan. The shower also didn't have hot water even though it has two knobs... but all these are negligible considering the overall comfort.…
Very very nice and clean and in a good part of town near shops and restaurants. The staff is very helpful and very kind, and they speak English. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks last puertas!
The hostel was just what we needed after three days of field work. The room was clean and accommodating even with 6 people sharing. The hostel it's self provided ample services with a large clean fully stocked kitchen, prefect for cooking group meals.
Rooms and bathrooms are clean and the Aircon works well. There is a massive kitchen free to use for all guests. Wifi is fast and the hostel has a nice shady courtyard. It’s in a good location, only a few minutes walk from the main square in town.
