Recommended by travelers in Antigua. Was a pleasant surprise. You has no idea what beautiful is that place till you are there. Airy and spacious dormitory room, has a big, clean bathroom within. A beautiful garden surrounded by plants, flowers and birds. You can appreciate local painters works on the walls. Great location, near of supermarkets and convenient bus stop....

We found this place in Lonely Planet & Rough Guides, had a lovely 3 night stay. We had the dorm to ourselves, it was simple & clean, with a huge bathroom & a huge balcony, which we enjoyed hanging out in. The hot shower had excellent water pressure, which is always a plus for me. It's located outside the city...

We stayed here 3 nights in the dorm. Francisco waa very attentive, helpful and friendly (as was his brother) and it was good value compared to the other major hostel everyone raves about in Santa Ana... The area is quiet and feels safe, there's a supermarket 10 minutes away, the city centre is a 20 minute walk or you can...

We stayed here for two nights in April 2015. The best thing about the place is Fransisco and Bruno, the guys running it, who were very helpful. They gave us tips on the local area and directions to the bus station for going by to the Parque Nacional de Volcanes. For us, the location was OK as we only came...

I stayed at Casa Frolaz for 3 nights from 12-14 Feb 2015. I stayed in the 4-person dorm, and I was the only person in the room during the period of my stay. Therefore, I have sufficient privacy and quietness by paying just USD8 per night. To me, it's kind of weird that there is a double bed in the...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 7 nights (was supposed to be only 5 nights) and we had an awesome experience! Fransisco and Bruno were so helpful and caring with everything. We are vegans so we used the kitchen to cook our dinners and it was no problem at all! They were sometimes there to chat with us and...

We had a stop over in Santa Anna and stayed at Casa Frolaz. I had my credit card skimmed in El Tunco and Bruno let me use the land line to talk to my bank. Bruno and Francisco were incredibly helpful. Their english was great and they bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. They helped arrange our onward...

Stayed here for two nights with my husband. The hostel is in a good location 20 minutes walk out of the centre of town but the area around is safe & there is a huge supermarket 5 minutes walk away. We were the only guests at the hostel when we stayed & so it was very quiet. The room was...

We went to Santa Ana and we used it as a base. From there we were going to several places around Santa Ana. This city is very well connected by buses to lakes, Joyas de Ceren, etc. El Salvador is a small country and in one hour or so from Santa Ana you have loads of places to visit. Bruno...

As others have said, the guys running the place are great! It was the first place I stayed in El Sal and they were really welcoming. There are just two rooms so if you are looking for some peace in Santa Ana, this is your place. It's a bit out of town but it's pretty close to bus station. The...

“Eating tip - 2 blocks from here, towards the big park with soccer and basketball courts, just 30 meters from the local bus stop, is a restaurant, where they are preparing steaks directly on fire ... the chicken breasts, I ate here, were the best chicken breasts, I ever ate in my life, with vegetables, rice and potato, all for 2.50 USD = unbelievable, as such a delicatesse would cost you over 20 USD in the US or Europe, I am eating it every day for lunch and dinner!”
