Since we were last here, all the rooms have had some TLC. New carpets, lick of paint, absolutely great. Very comfortable beds, spare pillows to hand. And the friendliness of the staff was great. The night before we left, we were offered out of hours breakfast to see us on our journey as we had an early sailing the next... More

Excellent location for going to the races. Hotel in ideal location and although we were there before checkin the hotel accomodated us by giving us the rooms they had available and gave us the key for rooms that were still to be cleaned. This meant we could leave bags and get changed in rooms that were available without having to... More

Weekend in Kildare and the 3rd time I have stopped here. Rooms clean and comfortable and despite being at the back of a pub and nightclub it was very quiet and I slept well. Special mention for Beata who was very helpful and a credit to the business. Only criticism, the bacon on the breakfast was very very dry as... More

Arrived to find ample free parking and signage directing us to the nearby bar/lounge for check-in. This was very friendly and welcoming. Our room - on the first floor - was of average size with all the usual accessories and was perfectly clean. The flatscreen tv on the wall was a bit small but sufficed. The ensuite had no bath... When a place hits all of its marks you say it was a great stay, when the people go above and beyond, sometimes you lose the words. Beata at the Lord Edward is the boss, and she is one of the nicest people you will meet in the town. The rooms are very nice, very clean and the best ones... More

We stayed here for 1 night booking 3 rooms. We were in a corridor with only 3 rooms so there was no passing foot traffic though the carpet was so thick I don't thing you would get any noise anyway. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the beds were very comfortable. Only minor complaint was that there was only... More

If you must stay in town, this is a reasonably priced place to stay in. We were told it's connected to the Kildare Castle next door by the Tourist Info people. The room was clean, and it was roomy for two.
