So we stayed one night because we had to catch a flight to the airport the next day. I picked this hotel because of my previous stay’s over the years . This time we were a little annoyed so here’s the review. The bad is ,the bed was extremely uncomfortable, even though there was an air fan in the bathroom it smelled like cigarette smoke was blowing in , the lighting is very dim and hard to figure out , there was no info sheet in the room to see how to even call the front desk so I could find out why the WiFi wasn’t working. I had to go down to ask the front desk person how to call them . He said press nine . If there was an emergency who or what do I call ? And last , be aware that “ breakfast “ is only coffee and maybe a piece of bread and extra . No more buffet that was included, 7 euros per person for that and not mentioned on their website, also shuttle is now 16 euros per person, not mentioned on website and a rip-off. Good thing is the hotel didn’t seem like it needed guards in the lobby .…
This is a nice hotel, with clean room and good sleep quality. It is situated near the airport and offers a convenient shuttle service to the airport (6 Euro per person). Overall had a good stay and staff was professional as well.
First off, the front desk gave us completely wrong directions to get our shuttle and kept laughing on the phone when we told her what she was telling us was wrong. Once we finallllllly got to the shuttle and back to the hotel, the shuttle driver explained to the front desk how to direct guests to the shuttle and she has absolutely no idea where the shuttle was. We had planned on using the “shuttle” advertised to get back to Roma Termini to take a train to see the Vatican, only to find out the shuttle only runs in the morning. When going to bed, our room was extremely hot. We turned it down to 19 degrees Celsius and it still was super hot. We went to tell the front desk and were told to open the window as they had turned the central air off as the night before people had said they were cold. We said we turned ours down low and he said yeah, you can’t control it...only I can. Then why have an AC control in the room?! He said the boss can give you a discount in the AM of 20-25 Euro, but not sufficient based on how hot it is. Currently calling our travel agent to figure out how we can get out of this hotel and somewhere else so we can get some sleep before our 16 hours of travel. …
This was a good choice to stay on our layover for our flight 1 night. It has all the basic amenities and some unexpected ones. Wifi is a little spotty on the upper floors and cable channels are limited. The people were great and the service was excellent. The hotel can use a little bit of an update. I really enjoyed the cappuccino they made and you could get them anytime as far as I know. They treated us well and pointed us to some really good restaurants.
The Comfort Hotel Roma Airport suffers from a misnomer. It had a minimalist make over removing the Comfort it promises and could be called ‚Basic but clean Hotel’. There are no drawers in the rooms, no doors on the wardrobe, no full-length mirror, no bath-robes, no tissues, no hair conditioner, no radio, no clock, no hotel information, nothing in the bar fridge other than a Coke and water, no deck-chairs on the balcony, no TV channels in languages other than Italian, but the rooms are clean. The noise of the dripping water from the air conditioner and the hard and lumpy mattresses challenge night rest. However, breakfast is of good quality. The hotel staff is friendly and speak Italian very well, but little else. If one seeks comfort in a hotel, one should look for a different one.…
At one time I can imagine the place was nice, but that was clearly a VERY long time ago. The only thing this hotel has going for it is it's very close proximity to the Rome (FCO) airport - although you must navigate about a dozen roundabouts to get there. It was very expensive for what we paid and was - frankly speaking - a dump. The lady at the front desk was genuinely pleasant and tried to be helpful. She provided us with ice and a very good recommendation for a meal at a nearby restaurant, after which we tried to sleep for about 5-6 hours before heading to the airport. It barely served in that regard. I would not return and could not in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. So uncomfortable for a “comfort hotel”. When we requested extra pillows, they asked us to come get them from down in the lobby. And when i got them they were smelly and dusty. So far from being a 4 star hotel. I would give it 2 stars. The whole hotel was dark and gloomy and the room was even worst. On top of that it is over priced!
This hotel is in a nice residential area and is perfect for an overnight stay either going to or coming from the airport. The airport is nearby and they have free, reliable shuttle service. The accommodations are basic but comfortable, and have all the amenities you would expect from this type of hotel A bonus.... A few blocks away there are a number of great restaurants right across a pedestrian bridge over the Tiber River. Also, a short walk down the street will bring you to a nice pier at the mouth of the Tiber. A great breakfast buffet is also available. A shout out to Carlo and Anna Maria at the front desk who were very helpful. Grazie!
You can tell this hotel was once very nice, just has seen some better days. Room was clean, paid for an upgraded three bed room. Odd layout with a second floor and big patio. King size bed was very uncomfortable. To open the door you had to time the card insertion just right and kick the door open. Shuttle was fine. I was surprised it cost 6 euro a person. And the breakfast buffet apparently is not free either? I thought we were just paying for the espresso. Bill reflected otherwise. Fine for an overnight near the airport.
Sitting on in my shoebox room with NO air conditioning and breathing problems. Front desk solution, just open your door! There is NO excuse for that kind of attitude and they should have told us immediately so we could have booked elsewhere. God only knows what could get in here across the rooftops at night. What a miserable excuse for an hotel.
