We only had 4 days here but we had a fantastic time. We wish we stayed for longer and travelled from Agriturismo as a base location around Tuscany. The people, staff, surroundings and hospitality is second to none. All the character and love you would expect from Italy and this magical region. Thanks to all at Podere San Lorenzo for... More

We booked two apartments over the summer. Here are our observations which I hope will help: La Castillo. The young adults stayed in La Castillo. It does not have a kitchenette as described in the brochure which was a disappointment. The idea was they would have a degree of self-sufficiency for drinks and snacks. The apartment lacks mosquito screens so... More

We just got back from 2 weeks at Podere San Lorenzo at the end of June. This was our second visit - returning with baby and family this time. We stayed in Casa Anna which is their largest apartment. We were 4 adults and a baby and it was perfect for us - baby even had her own room :)... More

Be warned, that for the last two weeks of June and the first two weeks of July, Podere San Lorenzo will not be a tranquil place. At 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, 20 - 25 primary schoolchildren arrive to either play tennis, learn English by the pool, play games by the pool, or have swimming lessons and games in the... More

Having Googled the location of San Lorenzo, we were slightly concerned at the proximity to the motorway. We needn't have worried. When we left the road, the long driveway took us through a tiny ramshackle village, up the hill and through San Lorenzo's iron gates into a fantastic holiday bubble. We arrived slightly early but were welcomed by Salvatore with... More

Having decided to rebook almost as soon as we returned from San Lorenzo last year, we felt a little apprehensive about returning this year as we felt it could not possibly be as good as last year. We needn't have worried. Ruth and Salvatore were just as welcoming and the food if anything was even better than last year! The... More

Our first stay was in the summer of 2011. It was one of the most relaxing enjoyable holidays we have ever had! This place is pretty special. It kind of draws you in and for us we felt totally at home. We are returning this year with a few more family members and can't wait!! I agree with some other... More

Recommendation is paramount when booking accommodation in a place you have never been before. It was quite a responsibility to choose a holiday let for ourselves and four friends from the U.S. So, with such good feedback from previous guests at Podere San Lorenzo, I felt confident that we would be totally happy and comfortable there. NOT THE CASE!! We... More
