So, once again, we’re all different and by that I mean different when it comes to what we’re looking for with stay. We knew that this place wasn’t a five star accommodation wise. We didn’t expect a luxury hotel room with all that you’d get at W in Bangkok... What we expected was a simple room but with the five star experience for our family and in particular our three year old son who loves animals and tractors. We also expected a nice treat and welcoming by the family (that so many of the other reviewers have been writing about). And that we got. Francesco, Lucia and Rosanna (the big family boss ;)) all were super friendly and nice to us letting our son ride the tractor a couple of times as well as feeding the animals. He absolutely loooved it! So when reading reviews about towels not being changed and rooms not being cleaned I think that those visitors had it all wrong. It’s simple rooms compared to a proper hotel = if you want a hotel, go to a hotel. Period. That’s the reason why I gave this place five out of five - the family experience. Mikael with family Ps. Rosanna makes greeeeat coffee, try it ;)…
We stayed in the villa over Easter weekend, a family of 6 with two boys aged 7 & 10 and months later as I'm writing this review I have a huge smile and wonderful vivid memories of the time we spent there. It is apparent how much the family cares for the animals and we all loved our experience there from the wonderful breakfast to the soccer games to the walks with the dogs (Snow & Flake), to the cows and bunnies and counting all of the cats, to Peppa the pig....we were entertained and spent the day on the farm with the boys feeding the animals and loving every minute of the farm experience. To top it off the surrounding area is breathtaking, rivalling Tuscany, and the restaurant we were recommended up the hill in Montone served the best steak I have ever eaten in my life. I can't imagine this place being any better for a family, kids or not, to experience unpretentious Italy farm life..it was too early for the pool for us but after our 2 nights I was sad to move on to our next stop. Don't hesitate, just book it and enjoy. Lots of love to our friends at I Due Mondi, love the Angelini family xo…
With my wife and my two children I stayed at "I due mondi" for two nights. We went there based on the positive feedback from tripadvisor, but we left earlier than expected due to some serious weaknesses encountered. The farm is nice, with many animals that we were able to visit accompanied by Rosanna, the energetic owner of this family business. Our room was simple and clean but with many minor problems: light bulbs not functioning, no shampoo in the room, very weak wi-fi. The room was not cleaned after our first day and on the second morning we were woken up at 7AM by workers using chainsaws. Everyone was busy preparing for a wedding reception the following day and we felt the event had complete priority over the guests. Understandable but not something we would expect in an Italian agriturismo. In fairness, the place is cheap (100 euro per family per day including a decent breakfast), but more suitable to large groups than to independent families. We were probably unlucky because of the wedding. In any case, with so many alternatives in Umbria, we would not recommend "I due mondi".…
