5th October 2016 to 12th October The Hotels Air Conditioning was just blowing warm air and not cooling at all, this I believe is a past and present ongoing situation. The Hotel has a Four Star Rating but in fact on an International Scale if it was reviewed, it would have difficulty in achieving this. The room was standard with...

We were slightly worried about the standard of this hotel after reading some of the previous reviews, so were happily surprised to find it so good! The location is wonderful with views over the sea and towards the mountains. It is very easy to get to if you drive as the roads have been greatly improved with European funding; it...

Visited this hotel on a Saga all inclusive holiday, together with my brother. We had large Seaview room with a balcony each. The bar was open for us on all inclusive for 12 hours each day. The food was buffet which was good for me being vegetarian. The food was okay and quite varied. The dining room looked out over the Ocean...

. After at least an hour driving round, we found the hotel at Sao Paul, which was about five miles from the reference on the (pathetic) map from the given destination of Sao Vincente. The lift was not working, so we used the service lift. First impression of the room not inspiring; glass marks on the marble surfaces; mucky bathroom...

This hotel provided a comfortable large room with a sea view. The ensuite was large also and the room had a balcony looking on to the garden /patio area. The only minus in our experience was the stations on television only provided two in English. One was CNN news and a film channel. There was an indoor and outdoor pool...

Hotel in lovely position, staff very friendly but the food was poor and the place was impossible to recommend to anyone due to piped music in all the public rooms- the only way to escape the noise was to retire to yor bedroom not what you wanted on holiday. Also the bathroom towels needed replacing they were all very thin...

We stayed at Hotel Monte Mar Palace and did not regret it. However, we did not really used every offer of the all inclusive packedge, we enjoyed every second of our holiday. Staff were very attentive and friendly! There were a wild range of activity which we enjoyed mostly the evenings when we returned back from our trips from other...

Clean and lovely hotel. Most staff welcoming. The food my partner and I would not even give one star. They would serve beef in gravy along side sea food, salad, tomato pasta and soggy cheesy tomato garlic bread. It's just made no sense. Perfect if you like hospital food. The rooms were spacious and clean but the entire hotel needed...

Please be aware this hotel is situated on the NORTH of the island, very unpredictable weather, we had seven days of rain, hired a car, went to the SOUTH, Funchal and other areas, where it was lovely sunny and high teens in temperature. That is nothing to do with the hotel but wanted to point that out first. The hotel,...

Although a good scenic location, breakfast low quality, wifi practically non existent even though it was said to be available in public areas. Unhelpful staff with no info given at check in, or available in room as a folder. Stayed at cheaper and better hotel in Porto Moniz. Did not dare try dinner, luckily we were B&b, and found excellent...
