The hotel is in a very quiet, peaceful position. We enjoyed exploring the extensive grounds and watching the tortoises wandering around. Our room was very clean and comfortable. it was well provided with everything we might need. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The receptionist, Maria always greeted us with a lovely friendly smile and made us feel very welcome....

We stayed here for 4 nights in June. Lovely setting, great superior room with terrace. The free minibar, coffee and tea making facilities, big TV and huge comfortable bed were very welcome. This is not a cheap hotel and we were glad of the deal we had which included 2 dinners and 2 picnics. The picnics were great, v generous...

Feel the Island feeling special. Travel back in history. Sleep in spotless white and well ironed linen and let Turtles in your room private patio wish you good morning. Natural, relaxing colours all througout the place. Nice touches such as Nespresso and Twinnings in guests rooms. An incredible choice of Cheeses, authentically Minorcan cured meats and thick Greek yoghourt make...

As we arrived on the dusty road, we knew it. This is the kind of hotel we love most. We enjoyed our stay of three nights on Menorca. It is great. The restaurant offers a wide range of courses. If you choose a discovering menu with wines you will enjoy. We had bad luck: on Saturday evening there was a...

We stayed here as part of our Inntravel walking holiday. On arrival we were offered a free upgrade so stayed in a room that had it's own patio. The Alcaufar Vell and its grounds are really quite impressive. Plenty of quiet areas to sit in the sun or in the shade, a lovely pool area, and extensive grounds in which...

The hotel sells itself on rural tranquility. The location is delightful and peaceful with great birdlife especially Hoope, Red Kite, Kestrel, Vultures all on the estate or overhead. Beautiful 45 mins walk to sea and coastal footpath. Def need a car and very little to do nearby in the evenings. Very upset that during our 8 night stay at 180 euros...

You arrive up an unmade, dusty road; not a good first impression. But then you see the Alcaufar Vell...ancient, delightful, rustic. Every aspect of this enchanting hotel is authentic, respectful of history and tradition, and welcoming. My wife and I stayed for just one night, bed and breakfast, and it was lovely. The public rooms are more like a museum,...

This is a review of the restaurant. The hotel looks lovely but we were staying somewhere else. We had dinner under the olive trees. Interesting, beautifully cooked and presented food. Unlike other reviews, we found the service absolutely fine. Looking back it is possible to think it might not be the best value you can find, but certainly lovely food...

Beautifully restored old house with friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent including produce from their own kitchen garden. Tranquil and peaceful ... Even the swallows nesting in the porch looked sleepy!
