Travellers' Choice
Glencoe House offers 5-star luxury suite accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The hotel comprises fourteen generous private suites (from 75-148 sq. metres) and contains two distinctive concepts. Firstly, The Glencoe House Suites that are located in the mansion house and have a wealth of period features together with sea or mountain views. Secondly, The Bell Tower Suites which are located 50m from the mansion and are more modern in look and feel and garden views; all have private walled gardens with hot tubs. Regardless of your choice, Glencoe House offers elegant but relaxed and sumptuous suites, with the space and privacy to really kick your shoes off and unwind.

We had a terrific 4 night stay in bell tower suite 9. Luxurious accommodation, great private hot tub, separate lounge, kitchen and upstairs bedroom with massive bed. Well stocked fridge and freezer with enough for breakfasts and gourmet meals if you so choose. We ate out one night and bought some food for, dinner to supplement what was there but that was purely personal choice. Of the gourmet meals we had tikka masala, apple pie and various veg. Hotel had taken care to cater for gluten free. Nice touch… half bottle of Prosecco to welcome. Nice choice of fizz, wines, whisky and gin ( honesty bar). We had brought our own but prices were reasonable if you hadn’t. Great walks, strenuous and not so depending on fitness. Nice stroll down to village for coffees and cake at Glencoe Cafe, walked to Ballacuilish and one very wet day had lovely relaxing day in relaxing watching movies and reading. All very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend for good value luxury break

We stayed in the self catering lodge , number 11. It was amazing! The bed was huge, the kitchen was superb and kitted out with all we needed, even luxury frozen meals included as is the food in the fridge and store cupboard. Lovley coffee machine . Well stocked bar items but these are charged, with is fair enough . The hot tub was private and well cared for, and flips flops provided, good thing! Having a loo and sink upstairs and down in the huge bathroom ( ice bucket and candles provided by the twin ended bath) was excellent. The log burner was super and we had a lovely stay here, we shall be back ! You are deep in the forests and can walk for miles from the door if you want to.the staff are discreet and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

We recently stayed at Glencoe House hotel for 2 nights and stayed in one of their very spacious suites. The hotel is a mansion house steeped in history and tradition (it was the former home of Lord Strathcona) and has some great views out across Loch Levan. The suite was huge - lovely large lounge dining area, big bedroom and a well sized bathroom. All meals are served to you in your room (which means that you can decide to dress up for dinner or lounge in your onesie if that’s your thing). The food was excellent - dinner was of a very high quality (the scallops were the best I have ever tasted) and breakfasts were massive (there are plenty of local walks around the hotel and these helped walk our food off !). The room has probably the best ‘mini bar’ I have ever come across with a great selection of full sized wine bottles and all charged at supermarket prices. We loved the hot tub - the weather wasn’t great during our stay but it was still lovely to enjoy the hot bubbles and watch the weather unfold across the surrounding mountains. The hotel provides a good WiFi service and the TV offers plenty of choice including satellite and access to the apps. The only thing to be aware of is if you are a social animal then there isn’t a hotel bar or other communal areas (there is a small lounge area as part of reception) to go and socialise in / chat to other travellers. However, if you are happy to hide yourself away in a luxurious room with great food then I can’t recommend the hotel enough. We very much hope to return.

We stayed as a couple for one night in September. The hotel is big and impressive as too are the magnificent views, breathtaking! Our suite (5) was very comfortable and clean. Great views from the double baths. We booked breakfast for 8.00 the following morning as we had a booking elsewhere and needed to leave early. We left our menu selection outside our room as asked. Unfortunately it was not collected, We chased this, and I was told it was being prepared, pretty impossible given I was holding our order in my hand at the time. So when breakfast did arrive some time later it was very very average. The porridge was luke warm as was the eggs and tea, and the quality of the ingredients seemed nothing special. Very disappointing for such a high profile high priced hotel.

Dear Mrs Voke, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your brief stay at Glencoe House. We are delighted that you enjoyed the building, location and housekeeping standards. As a team we endeavour to provide the very best levels of service at all times, and 99% of the time we are successful in doing so, as bourn out by the many wonderful reviews that we have received on this platform and others. Unfortunately, on this one very rare occasion, there was an oversight which led to the delay in your breakfast. I know that my colleague apologised profusely for this, and the team all rallied around to ensure that any delay was kept to an absolute minimum, in a bid to recover the situation. From you review, it would appear that our efforts we not enough on this occasion. I would like to add my own apologies to that of the team as we certainly do not like to read that we have provided a less than perfect service. I would however reassure readers that the quality of our breakfast ingredients could not be described as "Nothing special". Chef takes great care in sourcing the finest ingredients from Scottish suppliers to ensure freshness and quality. I am aware that your husband stated that he wished he could have spent longer in the hotel, and wished to return, so perhaps we will have the opportunity to show that the error with breakfast was a one off. Kind regards, Graham Steven General Manager

We recently spent 2 nights in Suite 5. Staff and building were outstanding. Our room was huge, well appointed and very comfortable. The views were excellent Breakfast and dinner served in the room was a treat and the food quality was high - they accommodated our wishes very capably. The local area and the Loch adjacent to the Hotel is incredible. This is not the cheapest hotel but you get what you pay for.
