What a great setup, a separate private wing to the building for guest accommodation. Lovely gardens surround the property as well as friendly Alpacas in a nearby paddock. Very comfy bed and a great outdoor spa. Tracy was a lovely host with excellent knowledge of the area and cooks a great breakfast. Definitely will return if in the area again.

We stayed two nights and found Tracey and Jim's hospitality fantastic. THe home (truely 5 star) is in a set in a large tranquil garden and the guest accommodation In a seperate wing offers oodles of room to kick back and relax. The food was sourced locally or homemade and was all delicious. A great balance of privacy and company...

We stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house and immense garden are beautiful. The separate guest wing is quiet and private. It's amazing that all this has been built in just the last few years. Took up Tracey's offer of a ride to the Gladstone Inn for a very nice dinner the first night (the proprietor at the...

Tracey and Jim were generous hosts for our party of 3 couples for the long weekend. they accommodated our various needs effortlessly. The balance between being able to feel like we were at home, while not having to do any of the work was fabulous. We were able to indulge our love of good food, good wine, sleep ins and...

thank you for your review - we love hosting groups! A great opportunity to cater for people who appreciate the good things in life - and we enjoyed the challenge of meeting the dietary needs! Your kitten distraction was also appreciated - he gets bored without people to play with him (and today we discovered that he can escape out...

We spent one night at The Summit Lodge. The place was quiet but lively, which was exactly what we were looking for. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jim and Dexter the lab, and then Tracey. She showed us around the property. When we went inside, it was truly five star - spacious room, lovely decoration, luxury lounge, complete with...

Thank you so much for your review - it is great to know that everything was up to expectations. The breakfast bread is always a favourite! Plus it makes the kitchen smell good whilst it is baking....few can resist! You missed meeting Monte - our latest addition, he is quite a character, Monte is a blue Burmese and has already...

We stayed at The Summit Lodge for our anniversary, it was a perfect place for a special occasion. There are not many rooms, and they are very private. The breakfast was really good, especially the fresh bread and butter. We wish we had opted in to the dinner they had the night we stayed (extra cost), it sounded really nice....

thank you so much for your review and your kind words - well, dinner next time! (and if you have any special requests we usually manage to deliver)! - Local, seasonal and flavoursome is our normal repertoire though. We always do a fresh loaf for breakfast - nothing quite like hot, freshly baked bread. Tracey

Brilliant food, socialising, homemade baked goods and DVD collection! Really enjoyed meeting the other guests and having dinner with them. We spent two nights in mid-February with very welcoming hosts Tracey and Jim. Five star lodge setting, facilities and food. We enjoyed the company and wide ranging discussions over drinks/dinner with a Scottish couple and German couple the first night, and then two English couples the second night. They were all touring around New Zealand and loving our beautiful country.
