Found this hidden gem in Wallace NS with a Google search while on a golf visit to Pugwash NS. Reservations required at this family owned establishment. It is also a bring your own bottle place. We had a 5 course themed meal ( ours was Now and Zen Asian cuisine) served shared platter style for our foursome. Food locally sourced,...

Very welcoming atmosphere and owners were very supportive. The best food I ever experienced in Nova Scotia: delicious, generous and based on natural products. Every dish was a piece of art. Inn is located in very cozy place in Wallace. Natural drinking water is from local well.

I booked a room at the last minute last weekend. Carol put me onto her next door neighbour who takes her overflow. Was a welcoming, charmingly decorated spot with a very comfy bed that was hard to get out of to go to work at 1:30 AM. Went to Carol's for a table groaning breakfast that was one of the...

Had an overnight stay here and found it to be welcoming, clean and comfortable. The room was well looked after and there was tea and coffee making available. Seems to be a great place to explore the Wallace area. The landlord is a top bloke and after he showed us to a our lovely room for the night, gave us...

We were staying at the nearby Cambra Sands and booked our anniversary dinner at Jubilee Cottage. What a treat for a couple who loves historical buildings, great food and excellent hospitality! Our waiter, the very personable son of the owner proudly told us the history of the amazing old mansion...a romantic, but tragic tale. It was so cool to even...

Based on previous Trip Advisor reviews of the dining experience at this establishment, we booked an overnight stay with a dinner reservation. This was done 8 weeks in advance, with menu choice confirmed by the hostess. Unfortunately, the reservation for dinner had not been put on her calendar, so dinner was not an option and despite this being her mistake,...

We didn't stay at the band b but we ate in the dining room, Qi Sera. There is a set menu for each night highlighting different food experiences. We were there for Asian night and the food was divine! We had excellent appies, fish and pork for the 2 entrees and fabulous dessert. I highly recommend this dining experience in...

We booked a meal at the inn and were the only guests that evening as it was early in the week and not tourist season. We chose the Atlantica and Australis menu. The dining room itself is cozy as expected for a bed and breakfast. The owners' son served us and told us tidbits of the history of the inn...

I can't say enough about the quality of the food at the Jubilee. My husband and I celebrated my 40th there and thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the dinner. We had the Now and Zen menu - it started with one of the most delicious spinach salads, and large, succulent shrimp; the main dishes were the freshest haddock I've had...

It's no Fox Harbour, but the price is right. Owners were lovely - friendly and courteous. Facilities are a bit cluttered and dated in areas, but clean and comfortable. We had a great sleep. Breakfast was phenomenal - a gourmet spread with stellar dining service (cloth napkin too!). Beautiful view off the dining room as well. Fast wifi.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This gracious 1912 home is nestled on 3 acres overlooking the tidal shores of Wallace Harbour. Jubilee Cottage was originally built by a Wallace gentleman Robert Nelson to woo a lady friend. He used only the finest materials. Unfortunately, she rejected him and he lived alone in this house until 1928. Guests may play the piano, shoot pool, access the internet (wifi); during the warmer months, they may explore Wallace Bay on our kayaks and meet harbour seals, great blue heron and other wildlife; the Wallace Museum is a treasure trove of history; Two renowned golf courses are nearby; walking and biking trails for the more adventurous abound. Ski Wentworth Valley is only 18 minutes away for winter fun and adventure. All three guest rooms have Queen beds with ensuite bathrooms. The memorable Blue Heron room features a whirlpool bath and a fireplace, the romantic Canada Goose room has a Jacuzzi spa and the cozy Sandpiper room offers an inviting fireplace. ... more   less
