Various issues encountered through the stay, and in all cases staff was largely unwilling to help and was generally rude about most of the issues. The worst issue encountered was that the shower was backed up and sewage began to bubble up when the toilet was flushed. This left us without a showering capability for almost 24 hours and without the ability to use the room for the majority of one of the days of our stay, and the staff refused to do anything aside from eventually fixing the problem – no movement to another equal room, no refund or credit, nothing. Subsequently reached out to Expedia customer support, who also refused to provide any assistance as they said they “called the hotel who refused to provide a refund or credit.” The property itself otherwise wasn’t bad and the location of course is the only real reason to stay here. Lots if ticky-tack signs about charging for every random thing possible, and cameras everywhere like you’re being watched 24/7 – beware you don’t break any of the rules that they might try and charge you for. Would not recommend and will not be staying here again – if you do stay, hope that nothing goes wrong as the staff will likely only be willing to provide limited help, and they’ll nickel and dime you every chance they have.

Long story short, we’ve stayed at this POS dump many times due to the location. We’ve endured many cold showers, horrid beds, pillows, bad make it yourself in the lobby coffee, parking across the street, tiny bathrooms, broken ice machines, construction noise, police activity, in room exterminators, loud obnoxious tenants but this time I’m done. Flew all night from the west coast, only to be told upon arrival that their online reservation system had somehow malfunctioned and overbooked us. We had a confirmation number thru the hotel sol website for our dates, but zero rooms were available. They offered zero assistance to us other than sorry, we don’t know what happened. We had to search on Saturday night to find anywhere to stay the night. Everything was sold out and we could only find a spot an hour away inland. We got a call from the manager the next day saying sorry, don’t know what happened and offered no help or offer to assist. She has a history of being rude. Extremely poor customer service. Don’t trust them, go elsewhere.

Loved this stay! Quick little get away and this gem was perfect! Loved the beach access and all the amenities available to us! Hotel w/ an airbnb feel so you could have meals there vs eating out all the time. We will definitely be back!

What a gem! Hotel Sol is cute and clean, and the location is perfect. The pool was just a few steps from the room. The beach was just a few steps further. Having a fridge in the room was clutch!. The freezer is just big enough for a small bag of ice and the fridge held a decent amount of food. Antonia was AMAZING! Soooooo helpful and happy to help. The room was clean. Bed was decent. The room is a bit tight, so I wouldn't stay here for longer than a couple days or if I planned on spending time in the room. Fortunately there is so much to do in the area and the beach is right there that we didn't stay in the room much.

As a visitor, I had a nice stay at Hotel Sol. This was a solo trip to see some family and I needed a room that close to them. The room was small but it had a kitchenette, a king bed, coffee in the front office, and it’s everything that I needed. It has modern updates, a pool and of course, the beach. Sunsets here are incredible and all the guests come out to watch the sun dip below the horizon. In this price point, Hotel Sol is a good option.
