We turned up at the hotel with no booking looking for 2 nights B&B. The hotel were exceptional in accommodating our request. The staff are simply lovely, the food brilliant and service first class. A well run family business who really look after their customers. Nothing is too much trouble. I didn’t get any staff names, but in case, there would be too many to mention. But a really special thanks to the tall gentleman with glasses who was simply outstanding. It seems all the staff chip in wherever is needed, whether that’s the reception, bar, restaurant etc. Sure, some parts of the B&B need a little facelift, but don’t be put off by this. The quality of service you get outweighs this. The rooms are clean and looks like there’s some investment going on which is great. Thanks again aberlour hotel, we will definitely be back.…
We stayed here for 4 nights, the hotel is great value for money, bar area and restaurant are clean and the food is awesome, nothing is a problem and the kitchen are so flexible. The manager checked us in and explained all the local amenities including the pharmacy in case we needed anything for the kids. We met the owner by chance on the day after checkin, she was very friendly and chatty and made us feel at home. The other staff who served us at dinner (where we ate every night as it was so good) were also great and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, the highlight are the showers, we could have all fitted in! We will definitely be back, thanks to the super service and food.
Stopped here on Sunday with friends for a bite to eat about 2.30pm on 18th 2022 service wasn’t grt (it wasn’t busy) I got the blt baguette it was awful bacon tasted funny think from oil that was used & baguette wasn’t fresh, my friend got a tuna brown sandwich the same bread wasn’t fresh & my husband got salt & chilli chips they were awful funny taste, the salt & chilli was just a seasoning & whole thing was covered in fried leeks so my husband took him plate of chilli chips to man who served us (older man grey hair/beard) & all he did was take the plate didn’t ask if we wanted anything else didn’t apologise & didn’t offer a refund poor service a very poor quality WILL NOT BE BACK
Second visit to the Aberlour Hotel for food in the space of a few weeks as following on from taking Granny for her 80th birthday celebration we took our 15 year old son to celebrate his own along with his two brothers. Second five star rating on the food as was simply outstanding. Fresh fish, beautifully prepared burgers and to top it off home cooked chips and not the anemic frozen plate fillers. They have revamped the lounge area for dining with large tables and comfy seating which adds to the pleasurable experience. Highly recommend
Me and my hubby had lunch here and it was very yummy, the vegan/vegetarian menu that they have is awesome and it is all cooked separately from meat! I had the spinach and falafel burger and it is the only place locally that cook chips not in BEEF FAT! Thankfully! Please keep this menu, ive had it twice now and "ill be back" :-)
Given the size of dining spaces in the Hotel we were disappointed with the small menu so we made our choice, but found another small list of items available from the grill in a box of drinks info at the side of the table. The food was OK but we wouldn't return.
Great food and good service. Very dog friendly. Nice decor and very clean toilets. Had the salmon salad, which was really good. Wasn't offered the lunch menu, so ended up a-la-carte at £70+ for 2 adults and a child.
OMG what a hidden gem. The food was absolutely amazing with a truly Scottish menu to die for. Staff are Uber friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Before we were seated tonight our two pooches were provided with a dog bed, biscuits and fresh water, very impressive, so sad we found this gem of a place late in our holiday but we will be back. Well worth a visit
Hotel base for the Whisky Festival. Greeted with a warm welcome, food great, friendly staff and very central. Room clean and the bathroom looked like there had been a recent refurbishment. So happy that we will stay here for future Aberlour visits.
Stayed here for my 50th Birthday whisky tour with 4 mates. We stayed for two nights, but wish it was longer My room was fantastic and looked like it had been recently decorated. Loads of space, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, with a shower I could spend hours in. Food was great, we had one evening meal here and two breakfasts. Really lined our stomachs for the whisky that lied ahead The bar area is great, with friendly staff, in particular the owner, she made us feel very welcome. Great hotel to stop, and use as a base for exploring this fantastic part of the UK
