We were trekking through the region and were recommended to the Casa El Algarrobo. We were wonderfully looked after, even in a medical emergency when I was whisked to the local medical centre. Great to wake to the Andalucian sunrise in a beautiful, quiet spot. Great shame we aere only there the one night.

The on-line booking was very easy and reponses to our questions were always sent promptly. Dorien and Wim made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. The outdoor breakfast with homemade jam , juice, bread, fresh fruit and a "surprise" dish were plentyful and delicious. The donkeys, bird, cat and... Casa El Algarrobo is a lovely place with lovely, funny owners and animals. Dorien and Wim are amazing, very friendly hosts, entertaining and at the same time giving privacy to their guests. We had such interesting conversations and great time. The location is just perfect for trips to the coast or the mountains. The road to the house is gravel... More

Wim and Dorien are the perfect host / hostess, helpful, supportive and above all their passion and enthouiasme are contagious. The B & B is a beautiful location with 5 beautiful rooms,... More

From the very start we sensed the warmth and hospitality that Wim and Dorien have to offer. They live to make your stay as pleasantly as possible. Wim tells you where to go and knows a lot about Malaguese tradition, Dorien treats your senses with home-made bread, jams, different kinds of juice, ice-cream, a breakfast surprise, ... The rooms are... More

El Algarrobo is the place to stay surrounded by a marvelous landscape and stunning views. This family owned place knows better than everyone how to give you a -feel at home- atmosphere. What a relief! Just a wonderful B & B where you will be warmly received by 2 great people. For this B & B even superlatives are not enough! This B & B is ideally located, close to the most beautiful places of Andalusia. An unknown peace between olive and orange trees. The rooms are luxurious and beautifully decorated. The... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa El Algarrobo is an old finca completely renovated into a comfortable Bed & Breakfast with 5 guestrooms each provided with an en-suite bathroom and airco. Every room has its own terrace on which you can enjoy an extensive breakfast while admiring the breathtaking scenery and the rising sun. Our finca is located between the hills of El Terral, within the region of Axarquia at the east of Malaga. Typical for this region are the white Moorish villages brightly hidden away in the mountains. They all have their traditional festivities. Our country guesthouse is located at the border of Comares, a Moorish hilltop village and the charming Riogordo. You can find us in the middle of peace and silence though only 40 minutes away from the airport of Malaga and the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean sea.We have a full equiped outside kitchen which you can use for free anytime you wantCasa El Algarrobo is the ideal setting to discover all the highlights of Andalucia. It’s a nice place for people who love nature, culture and relaxation (or a challenge for the active ones). Our moto: everything is possible but nothing must be done! ... more   less
