Stayed for one night to attend wedding. Reception also at the Hotel. Checked in late for Wedding, so had to drop and run without filling in check in forms. Staff were helpful and showed us straight to a room, then pointed us in direction of church. Ideal central location, nice room and good venue for reception. Good value for money....

We went to The Sun Hotel last night, the dining area is lovely and spacious, our waiter was very friendly and helpful and the food was great. Will definitely go back the The Sun again, maybe for afternoon coffee & cake!

Good comfortable Hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Good Food. Parking at the rear of the Hotel. Central Location in the town. Can be noisy if your room is at the front especially Friday and Saturday night.

It was a lovely Christam break. Right from the warm welcome on reception from Marina to the quick response for extre pillow from the housekeeping staff. There was efficient friendly service in the bar and restaurant and all the food was spot on.

It's clean, bit better than basic, convenient location, breakfast was OK, staff were friendly enough but too few of them and the parking could be better organised, but for £60 it was still cheaper than a return cab from Bedford!

Stayed here by myself in room 10 £65 for the night. Fairly large room & very historical dating back to the 1500's. Two windows in the room & large bathroom with bath/shower. Bed was comfortable & large. I liked the fact this hotel has some haunted storeys & history! Apparently room 16 is haunted & so is the ballroom but...

Was reasonably impressed with my stay at The Sun Hotel, good value, very traditional building with lots of character, a comfortable stay. I think the rooms decor could be tidied up and modernised a little bit but the hotel is a very good alternative to generic premier inns and traveledoge's etc located in right the centre of Hitchin

Stayed here on a trip to Stevenage as my usual was full. Single room was not massive and would struggle on a longer stay but was fine for one night. The hotel is a classic coaching inn and as such there isn't a square wall in sight. The room had its issues, nothing major but the place is full of...

The food was good and reasonably priced however I did not think much of the accommodation, I think grotty is the best word I could use to describe it. The room was in desperate need of refurbishment and the bathroom was cramped and maybe a little mouldy (I didn't want to look too closely)!
