We stayed here for the night before our start of the TMB. The staff was very friendly and very helpful in explaining any question we had. The food served was authentic french mountain cuisine big enough prepare you well for exhausting hiking days. It was actually much better then the food we experienced on the huts later on.

I arrived at Gai Soleil without a reservation on the first night of my Tour de Mont Blanc independent, solo, circumnavigation. Sadly they were full but their proprietor and his wife couldn't have been more helpful and charming. Calls were made to other hotels in the valley and, when a room was found, David insisted on driving me over as...

Due to trail conditions on the TMB we needed to change our plans and we were lucky enough to find a room and amazing help from our hosts who found as a way to get back to Chamonix when the local buses weren't running. As a bonus the room is great and dinner was excellent. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay here on our first night of our multi day hike on the TMB. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially the woman on reception. Dinner was very tasty and there was plenty of it, breakfast too. We decided to lighten our rucksacks and the staff kept our belongings safely for us to pick up...

Had a lovely stop at this hotel while walking the TMB. The owners were terrific and the hotel is great. They even drove a number of us to the start of the trail the next morning saving us an hour of road walking. The hotel has a lovely garden and good wifi. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed only one night during a Tour du Mont Blanc. Everything was pleasant and attractive, from the shady gardens to the cool water trough to soak our feet, to the great family style meal and the cheerful welcome and accommodating nature of the family who run the place. At the end of our week this hotel ranked number 1 among...

This is a friendly, family-run chalet hotel on the hillside above the main street in Les Contamines. From its doorstep, a right turn will take you to one of the area's main hiking areas (up the hill to Auberge du Truc and beyond) and a left turn will take you to the TMB in the other direction. The room was...

Very nice hotel. The owners were fantastic, we turned up soaked after a day hiking and they took all out clothes and dried then for us. The room was very nice, a little cosy in size but in a charming way, great wood features in the room and big enough for us to be comfortable. Excellent evening meal, cheese fondue...

This is a charming place situated close to the center of Contamines. Our room was clean with a sweet view over the valley, there's a nice garden, the breakfast is rich, and kind owner even gave me a USB charger as a present.
