Mount Cook is a must visit place if you are on the tour to New ZEaland. We stayed here for one night. The Place is extraordinarily beautiful. The Hotel is situated at a perfect location. We had a Private Room and it was quite spacious and clean. It had Private Balcony and a sufficient place to park your car in...

If one wants to go to Mt Cook in the tourist season then one cannot expect that much. Although we booked months ago the best we could get was a four bed dorm. No complaints about that, per se, but shampoo container empty - although think that now superceded by small bottles. Towels not provided. Beds functional at best. Who...

Warm and cozy, modern and in a fantastic location. We stayed in one of the recently modernised motel units. We loved the room and the whole Mt Cook experience. The pub attached to the motel is also very nice (good food and friendly service). If you make it this far, a walk up Hooker Valley is highly recommended. The motel...

We stayed in a private room and found it to be fairly typical of NZ hostels. The room was basic but came with fresh towels and everything you need. It’s a bit pricey for what it is but I guess they can charge what they want as the village offers very little else. We didn’t like the look of the...

On the good side, the views from rooms on the mountain side are spectacular. I'm not sure where the photos on this page came from, but we booked three rooms for three couples and a toddler, and not one of them looked like these photos. One room had working patio doors that led to...a balcony with no floor: a definite...

Stayed 3 nights in family deluxe motel. Room is quite nice and mostly clean except for mould in shower. View from the room is amazing and mt cook itself is spectacular. However, we had some issues with oven and fridge which took FOUR phone calls over several hours to get an appropriate response. Reception staff were disinterested at best and...

Stayed in deluxe 2 bedroom for 3 nights. The view from the room was amazing and Mt Cook itself is spectacular. We had some issues with the fridge and oven which took several phone calls and several hours to resolve. Reception didn't seem to care and seemed irritated that we actually wanted to use the oven and be able to...

I haven't stayed at many motels before, in fact this was my first. But what a pleasant surprise! I don't know if all the rooms are upgraded but ours (#303) was so recently refurbished that we had the feeling we were the first to stay in it. The two bedroom apartment was perfect for a family. Beds were comfortable even...

Last minute booking in the backpacker style room. Great to have an ensuite as we had booked all 4 beds in the room. Bothroom was lacking in maintenance and basic cleaning resulting the expected mould around the place. The backpacker kitchen was a shambles. Hobbs not working, not enough seats and tables. Greasy floor and walls and again lacking in...
