We stayed on the top floor. The room was nice. Unbelievable views on a clear day. My only negative comment would be the Obvious lack of maintenance. For the premium price of over $400 a night for room only I would expect more. It is such a nice hotel, please management, review you maintenance before its to late. Things such...

We visited in February, we were lucky enough to get Standard Mt Cook View room for two nights. We stayed at 7th floor, we enjoyed our view so much, special during sunset and sunrise period time. We enjoyed the location of hotel but didn't like not much choice of restaurant ( our first night arriving, the restaurant is full except...

The allure is the breathtaking views of Mount Cook that are easy to see from the lobby, bar, restaurant and outside your room. The rooms were rather small and our view was of the parking lot. This was not an issue, since there is such easy access outside, but the rooms had no extra amenities or luggage racks. The sliding...

In fairness to the hotel itself, we did not stay onsite. We were told about the Night Sky Stargazing activity that was held exclusively at the property. Unfortunately, this was such a disappointment. The representative welcoming the group must have been a last minute substitution. It was obvious that she had no experience and was extremely uncomfortable in addressing the...

I stayed here 2 weeks ago and while the rooms are fairly standard with just the basics, you are paying for the incredible "eye candy" you see out every window! Rates are very expensive--but this is a hotel in a remote location that needs everything trucked in, so you can understand why. The lunch and dinner buffets have plenty of...

Large hotel and very average from that perspective (impersonal, full of tourists, room nothing special..) EXCEPT for the view! I was on the 8th floor and was able to witness the sunrise over Aoraki Mt Cook.. Glorious! Breath taking! Only restaurants in the area are in this hotel (from what I could find) and on the pricey side..

We were very lucky to have really good weather on the overnight we stayed at the Hermitage at Mount Cook. The views are stunning. The hotel is extremely posh and is described as the best in NZ because of the views but not all rooms have a view of the mountains – the more you pay the better the view!...

We stayed at this hotel for one night and it was OK for that duration only. The hotel has a prime location with excellent mountain views. The reception area is attractive but interestingly the adjoining shop seemed to be a larger area than the entry reception. Does this tell you something? We stayed in the Mount Cook wing in a...

The hotel is in a great location for hikes and tours into the Mt Cook area. Wonderful view of the mountains from the hotel and rooms, helpful staff in all areas, and a very helpful activities desk. The room was nice size, clean, and very comfortable. There are a number of other more basic, less expensive places to stay within...

This is one of the few hotels in Mt Cook village. Most room have a stunning view over the lake towards Mt Cook. It's set in a wonderful ecological park. The hotel itself is modern and has everything anyone could need. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, most with balconies. Apart from the location and view, the buffet restaurant...
