Stayed for 2 nights at the farm at the end of our New Zeland trip on 7th & 8th Jan 17. We reached at 4 in the evening, it was drizzling which made the enviornment even more enchanting. It is a 80 acre farm with 150 sheep and 19 alpacas. Peter and Gaye, owners are very hospitable. Feeding the alpacas...

On our New Zealand adventure, our family tried to have a variety of lodging selections so a short farmstay seemed like a good choice. Being located near Rangiora and Christchurch, Pete's Farm Stay is a perfect place to take a break and breathe in the country. Pete and Gaye are wonderful hosts and the animals are so much fun to...

Pete and Gaye were wonderful hosts. They were warm, friendly, generous and gracious. Shortly after checking-in, Pete took us on a farm tour which we thoroughly enjoyed, and gave us what we consider the rare opportunity to go up close to the lamb, sheep and alpacas, to feed and hug them. We loved being that close to the animals, and...

Had a great time at the farm for 2 days. On both days, we did the farm tour. We are also free to feed the alpacas and sheep anytime. Enjoyed the sheep shearing demonstration and watching Pete the sheep dog herding the sheep. A must is to have breakfast in the main cottage. The breakfast area overlooks the sheep pasture...

Our entire family absolutely loved staying at Pete's Farm. It was very nice, clean, and peaceful. Set in the green grassy plane, dotted with sheep & alpaca, with snow topped mountains in the distance, you can't beat it for atmosphere. We wanted to stay out of Christchurch, but nearby & this was perfect. Pete & Gaye were absolutely wonderful, so...

Pete's Farm Stay is so much more than a B&B. Pete and Gaye are incredible hosts. Pete's comfortable way is engaging and not at all touristy. What fun to participate in the sheep shearing and to watch the dog at work. The alpacas are beautiful. I bought one of the alpaca sweaters for which Gaye's mother had spun the yarn...

We just flew into Christchurch and needed some much needed time to recuperate and adjust to the time. The farm was a great stopover to rejuvenate. It was a short drive away from the airport. The cottage we stayed in was clean and spacious. It was away from the main house where Pete and his wife lived in so that...

Stayed here with the family at the start of our tour of NZ. Accommodation modern clean comfortable and a good size for our family of two adult and three children. The farm tour was interesting and something the kids loved, especially feeding the alpacas! Breakfast is also good.
