Ate in the garden rom which was very cold food took an hour which is far to long as it wasn't busy my fish and chips were nice but my partners rump was very tough so he left half of it eaten here before and that was very nice hopefully better next time

We spent just the one night here, the Sunday before Christmas, en route to visiting relatives further north and it was just about perfect. The hotel was beautifully seasonally decorated in the common areas especially the lounge fire place, though perhaps it would have been nice

We stayed here in Mid-December and enjoyed a fantastic country hotel experience. Fantastic attentive service from really helpful and knowledgeable staff. Ideally situated to explore The Peak District and within walking distance of the Chatsworth estate. We will certainly be back!

The Hotel offered to look after our bags when we arrived on the Friday. Unsure about tickets, but ours were purchased in advance. There was quite a queue when we arrived on Friday lunchtime for those without tickets.
