The restaurant felt cold and dark so ate in the bar which was more comfy. Food ok. Service poor. Hot chocolate was lukewarm at best. Wrong steak was brought by mistake but we didnt notice so started eating the chips before cutlery arrived. Waiter apologised that we had the wrong meal, took it away and promptly served it to the...

I only stopped for a quick snack a month ago. So I had a soup and starters. Honestly I forgot what I have eaten but I remember it had a very good gourmet twist and congratulated the cook. I also understand this is under a new management and this is a new cook so my incentive for them to keep...

Have passed this Pub on numerous occasions while travelling on The Fosseway. The need for a quick lunch led us to the door en route to the north. Young man who served us was helpful and pleasant, if a little inexperienced. Arrived at 13:40 hoping for a reasonably quick service to enable us to continue our journey. Ordered two main...

Stopped off for Sunday lunch while en route to Cirencester. Ate outside in sunny courtyard. Cranberry juice was not available so settled for apple juice. There was a very long wait for the food but it was tasty when it did arrive. Surprisingly, the lamb was chops rather than carved slices from a joint and the beef was similarly cooked...

Called in when passing enroute to Oxford. Purchased drinks and given menus. Two young staff appeared unsupervised and whilst pleasant did not actually seem to be doing anything about the guests who were arriving clearly expecting food. No sign of any service by time finished drinks and as other people seemed to be in a similar boat decided to leave.

went to Halford Bridge Inn with my wife and 2 friends for Sunday lunch. The roast dinners were excellent and the service was of a very high standard. The price of food and drinks were very fair. We all agreed that we would definitely go there again with confidence.

Very old pub, good lunch menu, had the club sandwich, should have ordered one between us, they where huge. It has accommodation as people were checking in when we were waiting for our lunch. There is a dining room we noticed for more a-la-carte food.

We have been a couple of times recently to eat in the evening as we live locally. Menu hasn't changed so perhaps a specials board would make it more enticing but what we had was good portion size, well cooked and served in timely manner. Would also like to see more vegetarian options but that seems hard to find everywhere...

Had heard that The Halford had reopened so decided to try it out. The restaurant area is actually quite inviting and looks nice but we decided that we'd dine in the bar/lounge area as there were comfy seats. The bar/lounge lacks any atmosphere and the two staff seemed to lack confidence. Pubs need personalities and I really felt that was...

Just popped in for a lunchtime snack. Lovely new landlady hoping to resurrect this troubled Inn after previous collapse. We wish her every success. She may need to adjust her prices which are aiming high. And a 45 minute wait for a sandwich and a soup seemed a bit excessive for £20 plus. Background "disco music" wasn't very Cotswolds! But let's...
