I will start by saying this is a review for the restaurant, accommodation, and diving, all of which we experienced during our stay. Accommodation: The rooms are basic but decent for the price that you pay. The owner is very friendly, and helped us out when the island was very busy. We stayed in the backpackers rooms, which are clean...

Purple Snapper is a reasonably priced resort compared to many others on the island and will suffice if all you need is a pillow for your head every night. However, note that whip they provide clean bedsheets and towel, it might not be the cleanest around, and you might find yourself in one without hot shower although it is not...

Where to start... Firstly, I have to admit that the price is pretty fair. If you need a cheap room then this place will be fine. Also if it wasn't for the current dive manager we definitely would not have bothered with this place. Check in was a problem when they couldn't find us in the system. Then we were...

My friends and I stayed in this Resort for 2 nights last 2012 and staying here was definitely an experience to remember.. All the staffs are very accommodating and made sure that they exceed our expected service. It's only 2 minutes walk to the beach and the location of the resort is very quaint. With the swimming pool facility (in...

We spent 2 nights at the purple snapper, we met the owner on the boat going to malapascua island, we wanted to go diving there : very friendly staff, good diving instructors, good equipments & boats. We took a bungalow with fan and had a discount for diving with them. It´s a nice place to stay even it´s not a...

The place is good. The rooms are fine, there's no tv though. The staff, particularly in the reception and restaurant area are very nice. The owner of the resort is really really friendly and accomodating. We hoped to have a long chat but we only stayed there for 1 night. But surely there's more to see in this island. Great...

Here we are for the first time in the Philippines and we decided to mix two loves. Diving and holidaying.checked lot of resorts out on line before we chose the purple snapper resort. Every one is still rebuilding after the typhoon to some extent but resort has done it well. The diving with the shark are a true highlight of...

My friend and I planned to stay in Malapascua for one night, eventually stayed for three because we had such a great time in the resort . The good experience started after we were wondering around the island to find a decent place (clean and not expensive) to stay and we got to "Purple Snapper", the owners welcomed us with...

I booked this hotel via booking.com for 1200 peso. I was a bit annoyed to then find out they also did double rooms for 800 and 900 peso. My room was very basic. One dim light which didn’t illuminate the luggage rack so you need a torch to look in your bag! I chose a room with fan not aircon....

Budget-friendly, no frills service..a stone's throw away from the beach(not beachfront but still ok). Pool is ok. The staff are generally courteous and accommodating (which is expected, of course).Rooms are ok as well. I'm one happy camper!
